No, you would need a mixer, unless the karaoke system can mix in the PC with its mike.

Is it possible to add a sumo amp to a Denon AVR

Yes, it is possible to add a Sumo amplifier to a Denon AVR (Audio/Video Receiver) system. The Denon AVR is designed to be the central hub for audio and video processing, providing amplification and routing signals to speakers and other audio devices.
To add a Sumo amplifier to your Denon AVR system, you can follow these general steps:
1. Determine the audio output options on your Denon AVR: Check if your Denon AVR has preamp outputs, which are typically labeled as "Pre Out" or "Main Out." These outputs are used to connect external amplifiers like the Sumo amp.
2. Identify the input options on the Sumo amplifier: Check the inputs available on the Sumo amplifier. It should have an input that matches the output from your Denon AVR. The most common connection is RCA, but there could be other options like XLR or optical.
3. Connect the Denon AVR to the Sumo amplifier: Use appropriate cables to connect the preamp outputs of your Denon AVR to the inputs of the Sumo amplifier. For RCA connections, you will need RCA cables with male connectors on both ends. Make sure to match the left and right channels correctly.
4. Configure the Denon AVR: Once the connections are made, you may need to configure the Denon AVR to use the external amplifier. Check your Denon AVR's manual or menu settings to disable the internal amplifier for the connected speakers. This will ensure that the AVR sends the audio signal to the Sumo amp instead.
5. Set up the Sumo amplifier: Follow the instructions provided with the Sumo amplifier to set it up correctly. This may involve adjusting gain levels, selecting input sources, and configuring any other settings specific to the Sumo amp.
6. Test and enjoy: Once everything is connected and configured, test the system by playing audio through your Denon AVR. The audio signal should be amplified by the Sumo amplifier and sent to your speakers, providing enhanced power and performance.
It's worth noting that the specific steps and options may vary depending on the models of your Denon AVR and Sumo amplifier. It's always recommended to consult the user manuals for both devices and, if needed, seek assistance from an audio professional or the manufacturers' support teams for detailed guidance tailored to your specific equipment.

Hi! How do connect an equalizer to my Denon AVR-1803?

I find the best way to connect any equalizer is to connect via the tape monitor sockets, assuming that the AVR has one. From the equalizer in and out sockets - connect the Eq OUT to Tape IN on the AVR. And Eq IN to Tape OUT on the AVR.
Some AVR don't allow connections, due the equalizer interfering with Surround Sound systems. If you can connect switch off the equalizer when listening to Dolby or other surround formats, as it will spoil the sound.

Is a denon AVR 2808 compatible with a 4q hdmi cable?

Hello Terry, your Denon AVR 2808, is not compatible with HDMI 4K signals, only for HDMI type 1.3, HD signals
You can use your TV to connect all HDMI 4K sources and send a fiber optic connection from the TV to the Denon to get the sound of the equipment connected to the TV
Greetings Franco Dosil

Can i use karaoke mic in harman avr 245 ?

No. The 245 doesn't have a microphone input. Besides, the speakers for a home surround sound system are a bit too delicate for the distortion levels generated by karaoke.

Here's a $300 speaker (yes, $300 for a single speaker) wrecked from teens doing karaoke. They then bust it more messing around trying to push the tweeter cone together so the crack wouldn't be so noticeable

If you still want to go ahead with the idea then you'll need some other bits of gear. For simplicity sake I'd recommend a karaoke CD+G player. It will have mic inputs, vocal echo, and take care of putting the works up on screen.

The alternative is a mixer with effects (echo, reverb) - Cheap is Behringer Xenyx 1202FX

and a source device for music and graphics. This could be your PC, but you'll then need to go trawling for karaoke files and you'll need some software to play them and do the words. Sax & Dotty is pretty good software.

The PC sound needs to be connected to the mixer in a stereo channel. The mic goes in mono on a mic channel. The output of the mixer goes to the AVR on an AUX input.

How do I connect my computer to denon avr-1706

Depends on your computer's sound capabilities. At a minimum you could use its analog headphone and microphone jacks as Output and Input, respectively and run them to a Tape loop on the receiver.

If you have compatible digital audio ports on your PC, conenct them to their respective corresponding outs and ins on the Receiver.

Pc to denon av 2802

You can use an auxiliary input on your Denon. What type of connection is available on the sound card? Some models have toslink while most have the mini-jacks which will require an adapter (mini-jack to RCA) which you can connect to the AUX input on your Denon. On the computer, make sure the LINE-OUT of the sound card is activated.
