RCA Boombox Model RCD152 no sound from speakers or headphones

It appears the boombox parts are working, ie the CD player, radio and Cassette deck all appear to operate correctly, but there is no sound in the entire system. I have tried with just batteries and with the ac plugged in, The mute has been turned on and off and still no sound. I havent been able to find a repair manual for this, Any suggestions of what the problem might be?

I have a brand new RCD158B. Played it one time now now sound.

SOURCE: How to preset a radio station on Sony CFD-S200 Cassette/CD boombox

You will need to use the Forward and Reverse buttons on the CD player. Set the station by holding the button you want to set it to until it blinks and shows the station number.
To set more that 10 stations. Press the (>10) button and then enter 11 or 12 or so on and set the stations the same as above.

I have same problem and I figure out that it's coming from transfomer. No I wi'll have to check how can I fix it.

Can I easily transfer data ie audio files from recorded music cassettes to the CD or USB with any of Sony cd/cassette player?

Cassettes don't contain 'files' or data.

The analog audio can be recorded to a CD.

For this specific model, it's all in the manual...

I have a cd player it reads and play but no sound,when i tune in to radio it has a sound.together with it's cassette deck also has a sound.what must be the problem of my cd player?need help...

the headphone jack has a short. make sure there is nothing stuck in the head phone jack. (the little hole you stick head phones into) 2 the amplifier is faulty but i don't think thats the problem. (i would have had to got soaked in water to do that) hope this helps.
