"AQM9D49USK" My washer/dryer doesn't fill

"AQM9D49USK" My washer/dryer doesn't fill with water at the first stage. I have checked everything. Seems like it's the magnetic valve that doesn't open. Is it the valve or is it the CPU that's the problem? After avile F5 starts blinking. Is there any way to reset it? Hoping for answers! / Marcus Jansson. Sweden

The pump is alright. When the machine starts the pump runs for a while, then it stops.
(I've checked it again now, and nothing in there.)
But the water never gets past the magnetic valve in the inlet...
Hope you can read my bad english.

    I posted a comment, but I can't see it..

I've checked the pump, it's clean and working.
But the water can't get past the magnetic valve in the inlet as it seems...
My wife run a machine yesterday morning, but after loading in again, a second time, it didn't start.
After some minutes F5 starts blinking, So even today when I have tried.
Sorry for bad English. // Marcus

The drain pump is clean and runs good.
The water doesn't get by the magnetic valve in the inlet, as it seems.

I found a little blue box with a vacuum "hose" connected...
I disconnected the hose and **** on the inlet of the box, Smack, then the machine started filling with water... I guess that's the pressure switch... Don't know if it works fine now, but now I know what the problem could be.

    Thanks Daniel!!

Hi

If the washer won't fill you'll need to check for the water inlet hose, the water inlet valve and the pressure/water level switch assembly. Inspect the inlet hose coming to the washer for any blockages. If the hose is not clogged then check the water inlet valve for any clogs, if the water will not even fill for few seconds then certainly the water inlet valve is bad and should be replaced. You can also use a multimeter to check continuity on inlet valve. If you don't get any value on the multimeter then you'll need to replace the water inlet valve assembly. However, if the valve is fine then the pressure/water level switch assembly should be replaced. Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

Hi

F5 probably indicates that the drain motor filter is blocked and needs cleaning.Check both the drain filter and the drain motor. The filter is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear) and most are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out. After the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger. Make sure the power is off.
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. If it doesn't work then the motor is malfunctioning.

Kenmore Model 21082000 won't fill during wash cycle

Try checking the lid switch. Sometimes the switch goes bad or the stem breakes and when the lid shuts it will not activate the switch. Usually located on the right side of the dryer. When the lid closes it will allow water to.fill. Washers are easy to fix and the part is cheap. Get it from amazon dont pay the crazy price your dealer wants. Trust me, i just fixed my mothers...

Sears washer dryer commbo model 417.94712400 didn't stop filling with water and water went everywhere

Generally you could have two problems. Number one may be a sticking water solonoid that doesn't want to close after the fill cycle has stopped. Number two, if the machine has not started to agitate the clothes that means the timer has not reached that part of the cycle and is stuck in the fill mode. My guess is number two would be more likley, the timers **** out nowand then. Hope that helps

My washer fills and doesn't stop. I try to advance it to the spin cycle but none of the cycles work. I changed the lid switch because it wouldn't fill at all. Now it fills and nothing else. Tested...

The fill switch is bad. That's the only "safety" on the washer that will shut the water off after reaching desired depth. To test it, run your machine on the various water levels. For example, start out on the low setting. If the water doesn't shut off after the tub is half full, then it's the fill switch inside the unit next to the tub.

Kenmore washer 90 series continue to fill w/water. Load size won't stop the fill... had to shut off water source. won't get to agitate phase... just want to stay at fill stage... can drain, spin,...

Sounds like the fill switch needs to be replaced. A good way to test it is to set your machine on low fill and see if it fills past 3/4. If it does, it's the fill switch.
