If you got it your Windows 7 from a Retailer, then take it back to them, Or call them up for assistance.

Have you tried to use phone support on Registering Windows 7.

Go from there and see what you get.

I believe that the copy you are using is a trial copy. You can try to run a program to get rid of that if you don't feel like paying for a new copy right now. Unless you bought it from a company, then they can get in serious trouble for selling counter fit versions of windows. The name of the program is RWAT or Remove wat. If you are using a serial nr obtained from a " freeware " download center , Microsoft will identify it as illegal and will prevent you from activating your O.S. You need to purchase a genuine serial key on their site .
If it's not the case , you will have to call the Microsoft Product Activation Center at 888-725-1047.

An all too common problem. You will have to purchase a proper version of Win7 from Microsoft. This can be done online.
Try and contact the seller of the software that is counterfiet with a thought to letting Microsoft where they can find him to stop any more unfortunate people being caught out.
