use the search button on the remote with the tv on.. wait until you are able to turn it off with the remote..

you can access guide plus from front panel switches. press menu and select no. 7 or 8 guide plus setup. it asks for zip code type in using another remote using keypad.

If your tv has input [rca connections] jacks, look at the original remote and use the input button.In some cases....pressing 00 on the remote will access an input. If you must a converter box...set your tv and the DVD player to channel 3.

The remote code you seek may not be available in every remote; none of them are 'universal.'
You need to go to the website of the remote manufacturer and look for the code list for that specific model of remote.
