If you're using it as a computer monitor, go with the native resolution of 1366 x 768. If you're using it to watch TV, you could choose 720P or 1080i. You probably couldn't tell a difference between the two, but if you watch sports (or fast moving objects), go with 720P.

Soyo tv Mode MT-SYTPT3227AB will not turn on

It might be the power supply board. There is a repair service which addresses any problem with the power supply board, not just bad capacitors: http://www.coppelltvrepair.com/p/783/soyo-mt-sytpt3227ab-power-supply-board-repair-service-no-power-shutdown-etc

I have SOYO MT-+SYTPT3227AB TV and cannot locate mounting holes to wall mount the TV.

This TV is not Wall Mountable as the Control Box protrudes and is therefore not suitable for a VESA Wall Mount.

My soyo mtsytpt3227abms tuns on says soyo and then turns off

Complete loss of power points to the main power supply, a weak point in the majority of set failures.
Leave the set unplugged overnight to allow any residual charge to bleed from the power supply. Open the back panel of the set and look for a separate board that appears related to the incoming AC and has larger components on it; cylindrical cased capacitors and blocks that are transformers and chokes. If you find this, it will likely be something you can remove and replace yourself. Take a picture before removing cables or the board, although different connectors normally preclude incorrect assembly. Look for a part number on that board and contact the manufacturer to inquire about repair or replacement costs. Even if repair is offered, it may not be much cheaper than a new board. If you go with a new board, don't toss the old one, there are smaller companies specialized in the repair of these and you will probably need a spare.
