I have a Sanyo tv ( model #DS19330 ) and using a Sony remote to operate it. I am trying to restore channels 14-69 by scrolling through the channels with the remote. I can punch all channels in by individually punching the channels 14-69. I have contacted Sony, was on the phone for about 1 1/2 hrs. and the cable server and neither could help me resolve the problem.

It sounds like that the TV was set to skip certain channels. You need to rescan for channels or manually edit the channel list. To manually add channels, press Menu on the TV (or the equivalent key on the Sony remote if you found a code that works). Then use the Up/Down arrows (channel change keys) to select Ch Scan Memory + . Then enter the number of the channel (numerically or up and down arrows). Press + (volume + key) to change the setting from Deleted to Added or vice versa. Since you do not have the original remote, I'm not sure if the Sony remote will match the Reset key of the original remote. Unfortunately without that key being pressed twice, you can't reset the entire channel list and cause the channel search to begin automatically.

The manual for the DS19330 TV is here: http://www.sanyotv.com/DS19330%20%28ESF%29%203764--.pdf . (I'm assuming you haven't recently added cable after only receiving only OTA signals. If you have changed inputs like that, you need to go through the menu and change the source.) Menu > Cable or Air .

I hope this helps.

Input key quit working on my remote

Some tv's will scroll into the video channel's with a channel up and down so like from channel 0 to video 1 and then to channel 99. you may have to program the video channel into the list with the channel add/delete function. I would check ebay or remotes.com for a replacemnt. In some cases the remote can be opened and the button that is not working can be cleaned and restored to working condition. In most cases there is one screw andthe remote snap fit's together. So try a universal first and the n look into oem replacement options.

You'll probably need to buy a replacement remote. Do a web search to find sources for an exact replacement. You didn't say if you have a manual - if not, here's a source for a downloadable free copy

Changing program source without remote

Do a web search for a replacement remote control. If you got the tv without a remote, then I'm guessing you don't have a manual either. Here's a link to a free downloadable manual.
