My Sony SR68 cannot access HDD showing eror E 31 00:00
HDD format error. What does it mean. is the HDD damaged forever.

Somewhere in the menu there is a function 'clear' ('leegmaken' in dutch). I used it and the problem was solved!! Unfortunately I can't find it anymore. You should try it! Grtz Peter
SonyDCR-SR68E HDD Format error Go to Menu-Show Others-Media format-HDD-Yes-Yes-ok you must be solve your problem. Never format your camcorder with NTFS or FAT system format using your operating system Windows.
HI, I'm afraid, Sony DCR-SR68 can not be used as webcam because it has no option of video streaming and goes to standby mode if does not operate for few minutes to save power. Thanks.
Recently purchased a camcorder DCR-SR68 and we took all our wedding video
on it. It now says HDD format error and all my video is gone. I tried
resetting didn't work, took out the battery, didn't work. Sony told me
to format the drive but that also not function. couldn;t format that.
Is it possible to recover this video??? can i solve that problem? please send to solve that problem
