Unable to open cheap Sentry fire safe with family meds in. Have receipt and serial number. They are closed for Holiday weekend however

I have this same safe.. It is fairly easy to pry underneath the black tab with a tool. You will most likely damage the safe so I would have to CAUTION you. THE other way would be to pry a small flat head screw driver in the lock itself with a hammer and the the lock should pop off. PLEASE IF THIS IS FOR MEDICAL REASON AND IT IS AN EMERGENCY YOU ARE GOING TO DAMAGE THE SAFE!

The quickest solution is to go to lock smith . the problem will be solved quickly. that way you will have the meds as soon as possible and the cost will be minimal.

    try this ...

    Just cracked my 1250 safe. If you've already got it open, take the
    plastic cover off with a flat head screwdriver. You'll expose the
    combination mechanism. Spin the combination wheel clockwise three
    times, then turn it until the notch on the wheel closest to the door
    meets with the latch. Write down the first number. Turn it counter
    clockwise once around then do the same with the second wheel. Finally
    turn the third wheel clockwise until the last notch matches up with the
    others. Write down all three numbers and you have your combination.

I have lost the combination for my safe model V330 my model number V330 Sentry safe
  • Open your Sentry safe by typing the five-digit factory code (found in your owner's manual) on the keypad. It's always a good idea to change your combination while the safe is open, so that you don't inadvertently lock yourself out.
  • Delete any existing codes by pressing the "P" key and entering the factory code, followed by "00000." On older safes, press the "PROG" key and entering your factory code twice to delete old codes.
  • Press the "PROG" or "P" key again on your Sentry safe's keypad.
  • Enter your safe's five-digit factory code.
  • Enter a five-digit code of your choosing within 5 seconds. This is your user code. While the factory code cannot be changed, your user code can be changed as often as you like, and that should be your primary code to open the safe. Only you should know your safe's factory code.
  • Retype the user code to verify it is working, and then close the safe.

You need to call Sentry Safe. Give them the serial number and will give you the Combination or a new one.

I was tring to set tyhe 3 combination but i left the door close now I cannot open it anymore please share your assistance
take it to a locksmith with serial number and proof of ownership they should be able to get a bypass code from manufacturer, or try numbers 1,1,1-1,1,2-1,1,3,,, etc. lol!

Sentry Safe lost combination. First, find your Sentry Safe's Serial Number. The Serial Number is printed on the small label on the right side of safe, on paper tag near bottom hinge, below the cover plate or you can look behind the handle with a mirror. Just note your model # and the serial #.
Sentry Safes express combination research is fast with a next day Service. The email is sent the next business day with the sentry safe combination and opening instructions. Although there is a service charge it's still cheaper then locksmith drilling a Sentry Fireproof Safe open.

Have misplaced the combination
Debi.... If you have the receipt andthe safes serial number, go back to the store where you purchased it they will call Sentry and give you the combo. If you do not happen to have the receipt, go to Sentry's web site click on 'contact us' , send hem an e-mail describing you situation. They WILL recover the code 4U.
