Check the two contacts at the back of the tray. Be sure they are cleans as well as the plastic space between them. Then using compressed air clean where the contacts enter the machine in the rear. Usually there is moisture back there and the machine assumes the tray is full of water.

EMPTY TRAYS!!

This just came up on our Thermador Savor built in coffee maker. I put descale in tank but accidentally pushed Clean button, rather than Calcif!! So I hit the off button...but it stayed lit green...and EMPTY TRAYS would not stop!! The trays were empty!! And I could not hit the on off button...it stayed lit green and EMPTY TRAYS continued. I had rinsed contacts, even. I can't find original answer in here right now...but I thoroughly wiped the contacts that are in the back of the tray...but there are contacts in the "front" as well. DUH! They are on the sides of front of tray. Wiped them down..lo and behold, EMPTY TRAYS went away, and now I am descaling the machine!! Oh, I also do the clean/calcif myself monthly, and I don't wait for the machine to tell me! I received this advice from foxy also. Life is good again!! Thanks FIXYA!!

De longhi magnifica ESAM4200

Unplug it and try the following. See if there s a tab or lever than has dropped down in the track where the filter goes. This should push up thus allowing you to put the filter back in. Don't force it though. There is something physical in the way of this . Once you get it back in, the plug it back in. You will learn after you fix this what to do next time.

LG v181 won't eject - it tries to load even when there is no disc and won't slide out the tray at all.

It's likely a belt that drives the tray has snapped or come off! If you take the top off you might well see it!

Go Video DV 2150 - DVD door won't open at all. You can hear a mechanism working behind the closed door, but nothing happens and the door remains shut. Any advice??

There is a small belt under the loading tray which would have gone slack ( loose ) and the sound you hear is it slipping on the motor pulley. If you are confident you can remove the mechanism and turn it upside down and access this belt. Dismantle only if you can get the spare belt or your efforts will be in vain.

Problem with Benvenuto B30 cleaning

After I cleaned the tabs really well, I still had the same problem. So, I took the back off so I could get to the "switches" that close the feedback circuits for the "Trays Missing" and "Clean Trays" messages. Long story short, you DON'T need to take the back off. You can solve the problem if you remove the trays and carefully remove the right side metal tab. This will stop the false readings, at least it did for me. Save the tab if for some reason you need to it later.
To remove the right side tab, use something like an eye glass screwdriver or butter knife to pry it up and out of the two small holding tabs. Then rotate the metal tab up and away from the tray and it will fall right off.
