Check Temp inside freezer. It has to be down to about 10 or 15 degrees
This can cause slow ice making if its too high even tho its freezing everything else at 25 degrees
See if water is in icemaker.
Pour water in Ice Maker and wait to see if it ejects.
If it ejects theb you need to replace water valve in rear bottom of fridge(Its the part that
attaches to water line out of wall)
If it doesn't eject then it is a faulty Ice Maker.
If its leaking same part needs replaced. The water valve at the bottom rear of fridge.

My icemaker stopped working but the water on the door still works what can the problem be model number 106.51552104

02fd7a9b-9a65-43a6-ae76-6bf68d211304.jpgThanks for the model number. If the ice slots inside the ice maker are empty try pouring tap water in and allow the water to freeze. If after the water freezes the ice drops into the ice bucket and the ice maker does not refill this would indicate that the side of the=> W10408179 Water Inlet Valve is defective on the side that controls ice maker water supply. If the ice maker just sits there and does nothing this would point to a defective ice maker. Depending what is wrong with the ice maker will determine what parts are replaced. Here is a list of those parts here=> Kenmore Refrigerator Model 106.51552104 Ice Maker Parts and if need you may be able to find a complete ice maker replacement by asking. Most people don't like replacing ice maker parts. I am here should you have questions or comments, Sea Breeze

My ice maker doesn't make enough ice cubes

Is the ice maker itself filling normally, meaning where the cubes are made gets enough water to cover the complete area or just a few slots? If not then check the fill tube where the water comes into the ice maker to make sure no ice has formed blocking the water from coming in.
Now if ice production in general has slowed, going from every 45 minutes or so to like every 6 hours, then your machine more than likely isn't getting cold enough. The ice maker requires the temperature be at least 10 degrees F or below for it to function properly.

My ice maker on Maytag MF12468AE stopped making ice. When I add water to the tray, the cubes form but are not ejected. Is the the water valve bad or is the entire ice maker itself bad?

The ice maker is bad and they have been discontinued by the manufacturer. Luckily, there is a replacement part that works in your machine, part number W10477228. The reason I say its bad is because it should have atleast ejected the ice that was made when you poured water in it if it were working properly. The only other thing it could be is that the temperature is not cold enough in the ice maker area, which is 10 degrees F or colder. If the temperature isn't at least that then the ice maker won't cycle at all.

My Ic13b icemaker but when ice tray is full it still adds water to icemaker causing it to overflow and freeze on bottom of freezer

either your ice maker is calling for too much water or the water valve isn't shutting off when the ice maker tells it too. The best thing to do is to change both the ice maker and the valve because if one is defective more than likely thee other will fail shortly

There isnt any water getting thru to the icemaker. i changed the watervalve and still no water i cannot locate the water filter even tho i removed the bottom grill, water is still getting to the water...

if you put a new water valve on the fridge then you either have a bad ice maker or the line is frozen where the water fills the ice maker,a bad water valve will make the line freeze, water keeps dripping through the valve and freezes the fill line behind the ice maker cup,you can remove the ice maker and check the fill line,if it's frozen get a hair dryer, shut down the fridge or unplug it and blow the hot air into the fill line until the ice melts, then get a piece of wire and after you reinstall the ice maker pop off the cover to the ice maker and jump it out with the wire, stick it in the t and h for 15 seconds and pull it out,if the ice maker is good it will start turning and when the arms get at like 11 oclock it should fill, also you can jump out the fill valve from the ice maker, stick it in v and L and if water fills the ice maker you know you have a bad ice maker if the fill line isn't frozen.hope this helps.next time you need help send the model number,on your machine look in the fridge section on the right hand wall up near the ceiling to find it,if it's older look down near the bottom hinge on the fridge door and you'll see a tag with the model number.good luck

GE TFX24E side by side refrigerator, ice maker won't fill with water.

Hi, I have a GE TFX24E refrigerator. The ice maker is not filling with water. I replaced teh water valve with no joy. If I pour a cup of water into the dispenser the ice maker will freeze and harvest the ice. Any ideas? Is there a replaceable water fill sensor?

Icemaker not working...

Hi, first , pour about 2/3 cup of water into the ice maker . If if freezes , and dumps , replace the water valve. If it does not dump the cubes , replace the ice maker. After pouring the water into the ice maker , remove the bottom kick panel , and clean the bottom coils , of dust , lint , pet hair , etc , as this will raise the freezer temp . An ice maker has to be 5 degrees , to operate , correctly . If ice maker starts working , after cleaning the coils , GREAT ! ( it does happen ) .

Take care

My ice maker quit working when I replaced the water filter.

Your model Maytag comes with an electronic ice maker and if you just recently changed the water filter the water should be dispensed for 2 or 3 minutes or until any air that may be trapped in the lines is removed. If air is sill present in the filter the ice maker opens the water control valve for about 7.5 seconds. If air that is what the ice maker will get until the air is completely purged from the system. If you fill that you have past that point then pour tap water into the ice maker and let freeze. After the water freezes the ice maker should cycle and dump. If not the the ice maker core may need replaced. If yes it dumps then the air may not yet purged or the water control valve for the ice maker side may be defective. This is one of those wait and see repairs. I will send you a link to the copy of the service manual and page 71 begins addressing the ice maker. Thanks, Sea Breeze
