When I'm scanning a document on Canon 7580 each page will show up on my computer screen with a slighly different margin (keeps shifting left to right). The document is being fed into the scanner correctly but coming out different on the computer. We are using CapturePerfect 3.0. Not sure if hardware or software issue. Thanks

Under CapturePerfect3, you can choose to deskew the scanned image while scanning itself. Also select 'Image only" radio button instead of 'Guide Plate'. The software will remove black borders around the image.

Why doesn't everything shown in preview appear on the printed page?

You need to look at your margins. Many times the screen preview extends beyond the margins. Many devices depending upon your print driver will not always print the same as on the screen. Change your margins to .5" on the document and then check the print. If you live in Southeast Florida Advanced business computers is a great source for help. Scanning half a page

You will need to check your page settings. As each program is different, the page setup will generally stay the same. It will also change if you are scanning at 0, 90, 180, or 270 degrees as well.

How do I change margin setrtings foe Lexmark P4350

If you are preparing to print a document that you have created in Microsoft Word, you may be concerned that all the text on the page will print exactly as you see it on your screen. This is not always the case. You can adjust your print margins to ensure that your text prints on each page exactly the way you would like it to appear.

Opening Your Document
Open your Microsoft Word document by double-clicking the Word icon on your desktop. If you do not see the icon on your desktop, then you can locate it where it is buried on your "Start" menu. Click "Start," followed by "All Programs." Then click "Microsoft Office," followed by "Microsoft Office Word." A new document will open on your screen. Click the "Office Button," followed by "Open." Scroll through the files listed, and double-click the one you would like to print. It will open on your screen.

Check Your Margins
By default, your page margins are set to 1-inch margins on the top, bottom, right and left of your page. You can check your margins or change them by clicking "Page Layout," followed by the "Margins" button.

Select New Margins
Select a different margin size, such as "Narrow," which indicate 1/2-inch margins, or "Wide," which indicate one-inch margins on the top and bottom and two-inch margins on the left and right. You also can select "Moderate," which indicate one-inch margins on the top and bottom and 3/4-inch margins on the left and right. Finally, you can select "Mirrored," which indicates one-inch margins for the top, bottom and outside. The inside margins are set at 1 1/4 inches.

Print Your Page
Print your page. Press "Control" plus the "P" button. The printer dialog menu will come up. Make sure that "All Pages in Range" is selected. Press "OK." If your printer cannot print your new margins, then a new menu will pop up telling you to adjust your margins.

I hope you find it very helpful. Best regards.

Is there a way to define scan area settings in CapturePerfect v3 to allow for different margins when scanning front-side and back-side of a paper? I.e. to compensate for differences in left and right...

Interesting question. I don't think there is a solution from CP3. It is logical to assume that front and back sides are of the same size and hence there is no provision in the software. One option is to scan once for say top side(left margin) and change the settings (select reverse scanning, i.e, bottom side only) and alter the margin as required, nevertheless you will have to scan twice. You can also crop after the images are generated separately, but it is difficult to separate odd and even images, assuming there is a large number.

We have a Canon DR-9080C scanner. When scanning in Duplex on pages with data on both sides, the back side of each page is coming out unreadably faint. The header and any overall large blocks of black on...

The Canon DR 9080C is a 'contact' scanner. There is no optical lens, instead it uses a technology called "Contact Image Sensor' or CIS. The page to be scanned must be close to the glass for a proper image. This is achieved by a full-length rubber roller just above/below the scanning module. The roller is spring loaded and in case it gets stuck, there wont be enough pressure on the document to keep it close to the glass. ensure these rollers are moving smoothly and if required clean them. The rollers are on the opposite of the Scanning module.

Your hard disk must be almost full. Direct the scanning software to send data to a hard Disk location where you have enough space.

Canon dr 7580 is not scanning multiple pages.

Check if you have selected 'multipage' option. Then you will get only a single file, but with multiple pages.
If your question is that the second or subsequent pages are not pulled in for scanning, then you need to change the rubber rollers.
