Heating up leftovers microwave got real hot then poped now there's no power

It's likely that the magnetron has burnt out.

not something most average people are going to be able to fix, maybe the Magnetron.

If this is a warranty item, I would take it back. It is normal to have a moderate sound. But if it's very loud it indicates a problem in the microwave oven.

sounds like the magnetron is dead, cheaper to replace the microwave than get that part replaced unfortunately... unless you can find another of the same model (or compatible) for parts.

Sounds like the magnetron has failed. This is the component that produces the microwaves that heats the food.

The cost of the magnetron is about 95% of the cost of a microwave oven. Most people don't, for this reason, replace the magnetron, they replace the whole oven which is probably what you will end up doing.

There is a possibility that the circuit that provides power to the magnetron is faulty and you need to take it apart, find the proper electrical leads and test them with a volt meter. To do this you have to remove it from its mounting and take it apart. It is a fairly lengthy process however.

It's probably attached with hot glue to keep it from getting loose due to heat or vibration.

I would be sure it's unplugged, then use needle-nosed pliers to remove the leftover base from the socket.
