SOURCE: dell 725 wont work
Hi aliciaa
I think you just need the installation or setup instructions for your printer. I suspect something is simply unplugged or similar.
HERE you will find Dell's manual for their Photo AIO (All In One) 725 personal inkjet printer.
HERE you will find Dell's page for trouble-shooting problems related to your printer.
HERE you will find all the drivers and downloads related to your printer on Dell's web site.
Make sure that there is a cable going from your printer and plugged into your computer. Make sure the cable is fully "seated" (plugged in completely) on both ends (at the printer and at the computer.)
One other cable should be coming from the printer. That cable will be A/C power cable. Make sure it, too, is seated properly (fully plugged in) at the printer and at the A/C outlet you are using for it.
If the power cord is in two parts (one w/ a "block" on it), make sure that the two segments are joined together completely. The segment of cord w/out the block on it will plug into the "block". Make sure it is seated in properly as well.)
Finally, make sure that the outlet that you have the printer plugged into is working. (Plug a lamp or something similar into that same outlet and confirm that you are able to turn on the lamp.)

Could have a corrupt driver.
Disconnect
the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do
both and when the CD software program asks you to connect the printer
to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud

Without more information I would suggest checking the thermostat on the fuser first and then maybe the control board. It's possible that the printer is not able to self diagnose or otherwise unable to verify its own status and that could possibly result in it turning off after print a job.

Hi there maximum time we found it is a the head problem. The print head is what the cartridges sit in inside of the printer. For resolve the problem please follow these.
Open the printer and wait for the carriage to slide over. Some how if its not come then Unplug the printer & Manually slide the carriage.
Now Remove the ink cartridges from the print head & Use wet warm cotton swab or use alcohol to thoroughly clean the print head.
Repeat this until there is no ink residue coming off on the cotton swab. After finished it make the head dry then fix it back. Now Try to print something now
If that does not work then follow the next step.
Remove the printer data cable & restart the PC & printer. Then fit back the data cable & turn on the printer. Hope that's start working , if no luck then Uninstall the printer driver & restart the PC & Printer both again. Now install the driver of the printer and connect it with PC ,Turn on printer & go for a test print from the printer preference. Thanks & waiting for your reply.
