The reset to factory setting probably did not include the drivers for the network card

You should see in the Network section that you have yellow ! Right Clic on them and chose update driver. and follow the instructions
If this still doesn't work you will have to get (Download) the driver from the Toshiba siteSince you did not mentionne the model of toshiba laptop you have  I can not go any further in detail
http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jspAnswer the questions on that page to get to the driver requiredThe answer on Driver Type should be "LAN" (for Local Area Network)Hope this help
You should end up on apage where you will be able to see the lan drivers for your model Clicking on that file will stard the download of a ZIP compress files Roght clic on the downloaded file and chose extract to and chose a location to extract them Once extracted, return to the device management pannel and redo the update drivers but this time specify the extracted folder to update your drivers, restart the computer

Connect wireless network

You need to reset the cisco E3000 router back to factory defaults; This will allow you to login to the router and set it up again as if it is being setup for the first time.

Most routers have a "reset" button usually requiring a pen or a paper clip to access and press the button. Usually holding this button down for about 30 seconds will reset the router to default settings.

Then you will need to use the instructions manual to setup the router again. This will allow you to set the wireless password again to gain access to the wireless connection again.

If you don't have the instruction manual, usually you can download it from the manufacturer's website for the respective router. In your case the Cisco E3000.

Hope this helps.

Try resetting the wireless router back to to factory defaults.
To reset the Linksys back to the default settings -
Press and hold the pinhole RESET button at the back of the router with the power ON for 20 secs. then release the RESET button.
To connect to your wireless router, the router's wireless settings needs to be configured with the SSID, encryption etc. and also the wireless cards in all the laptops/computers needs to be configured with these router's wireless settings. Then the laptops/desktop computers can communicate with your wireless router.
Connect a LAN cable from the Linksys to the LAN port on your computer.
Open a browser and enter the Linksys configuration URL
http://192.168.1.1
The default login = admin
The default PW = admin
You can protect your router by changing the default admin PW (write it down and put it in a safe place)
Go to the wireless configuration and set up the SSID and WPA or WPA2 encryption to protect your wireless network and Internet from unauthorized access.
Now apply these settings to the wireless card in your laptop/computer.
To secure your wireless network from unauthorized access, please click on this link and follow my instructions :-

I have a linksys wireless router. I put a password on it. Bad idea. Now I can't access the internet with my laptop with vista. There must be some way to tell the password, I think linksys calls it a...

You can always reset the router and start over. Use a straightened-out paper clip or the point of a pen to press the recessed reset button on the router's rear panel. Hold it for 10 seconds or so and release it. The router will restart, and then all its settings will be back to factory default. Go through the wireless network settings again and you can set up a new passphrase.

With an Ethernet cable, connect the "wired" port on your desktop/laptop to one of the "wired" ports on the router.

Access the router's built-in web-server, and "reset" the router to "factory-settings".

Then, run the "Wired Networking Setup Wizard".
Then, run the "Wireless Networking Setup Wizard",

Wireless device problem

For virtually any router, wireless access point, or modem, you will find a tiny round hole just big enough for an unbent paper clip to be inserted. The word reset may be next to that hole, but not always.

Pushing the unbent paperclip into that hole firmly for 10 to 30 seconds will reset the device to the original factory settings.

If you have the quick-start guide or manual for the device, you can use that to set it up. If not, visit the web page for the company and look for tech-support or downloads to find the manual for that particular device. You can also Google the actual device and part number information along with the words 'manual' or 'setup' and find the page that way.
