Wall switch will operate door. Remote would operate door if held next to opener. Replaced logic board but remotes still will notwork at all. Wall button still works. Thanks Adrian

Sounds like a logic board problem. Remember the wall switch is hard wired and doesn't use the receiver which is part of the logic board.

Sounds like your receiver has quit. It is part of the logic board.

Look at the LED light next to the SMART/LEARN button on rear of the motor unit. You may need to remove a light lens cover in order to see it. If the light is flashing rapidly this means you have a stuck button on one of your remote controls. Take the batteries out of each remote control. When you remove the batteries from the bad remote, the light will stop flashing. This remote needs to be replaced.


If one of your neighbors remote controls is inadvertently programmed into your receiver, you door will open when their remote is activated. If this happens you will need to clear out your receiver and reprogram your remote controls. Press and hold the smart/learn button for 6 seconds or until you see the small LED light near the button turn itself off. If the above steps have been followed and the symptoms continue, there may be an electronic short in either the wall control button or the receiver logic board. In this case, remove the wall control wires from terminals 1 and 2 on the motor unit. Should the symptoms persist after the wires are removed, replace the receiver logic board. typically the remote codes are stored on the controller board (called logic board). if the wall switch for your opener still works, but you are unable to reprogram the existing remotes that came with the unit (assuming of course you checked batteries in the remotes) then it is likely that the logic board has died. Given that the opener is 13 years old, this is not unexpected. New openers have a host of new features including advanced security, so it might be a good time to invest in a new one.

sounds like the safety door sensors are at fault,also did you reprogram the remotes by pressing the smart button on the logic board,when the safety sensors are bad the door will reverse to open state.you can pully the rip cord to manualy close the door untill you solve the problem.
