Problem Description: After installing a Floppy DDrv and a CD drv in the Optiplex GX620 desktop case, there is latch (blue plastic handle) that you pull up and release and it snaps back down upon release and secures the two drives. I find that this latch mechanism is damaged so these two drives are now loose in the case. My Request: How does one set about fixing this latch thingy? What other alternatives are there to resolve this problem? Thanks Much Robby, Mpls -----------------

Now for the cover. You don't say what form factor you have. (There are 4.)
If you go to this page and go to the bottom, there are 4 links corresponding to each of the form factors that give instructions for removing the cover.
Also keep in mind that your computer has a Chassis intrusion switch. Once you remove the covers you will need to reset it. Instructions are at the bottom of this page:
For this solution I would suggest contacting Dell, or checking Ebay. You may find an Optiplex GX620 on Ebay for parts, that you can buy for a song. (And sing it yourself)
Should a Front panel Cover not be available, (Or too pricey), you may want to look into buying a new computer case. You can buy a decent, good looking, new computer case, for around $60 to $80 Then transfer your parts to it. Here are examples, http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/category/category_slc.asp?Lprice=50&Hprice=99.99&CatId=1847 You might also want to check Ebay for this too.
