    I have the same problem. An engineer visited and told my wife that it was caused by a leak. The machine needs to be pulled out, but the engineer didn't have the gumption to remove the panel at the bottom to allow the machine to be pulled out. Hence why I am looking at this site ...

This seems like the anti flood system (polystireen float / micro switch) at the base of the washer is triggered,\. This puts the washer in pump out mode and stops inlet of water via the inlet solinoid. Dry the water on the base and then check for any water leaks. (pipe leak

This can only be the controller.
Only the controller (timer) turns the pump on and off.

AEG OKO FAVORIT 40300 When switching dishwasher on no water is flowing into the the dishwasher?
It should first be checked for correct water inlet hose with safety valve. After connecting the double-walled water inlet hose, the safety valve is next to the tap. Therefore the water inlet hose is only under pressure while the water is running. If the water inlet hose starts to leak during this operation, the safety valve cuts off the running water and the draining pump in the dishwasher is switched on. If the inlet hose with safety valve working correctly than could be some of following faulties.

  • The door of the dishwasher is not closed properly.
  • Mains plug is not plugged in.
  • House fuse in defective.
  • In the case of dishwasher models with start delay
    timer: A start delay is selected.
If you look at the lower electrical diagram then you can see that all electrical components are located in a circuit inlet valve which can be also faulty.

  • ON/OFF Switch
  • Door switch
  • Program controller (Timer)
  • Pressure switch
  • Inlet valve
  • Float switch
  • Wiring between all this components

What is the most usual reason for leakge on the AEG 6050?
The outlet pump is triggered by the anti flood micro switch via the polystyreene float on the base of the washer. If any water for whatever reason (leaky pipe)is on the floor the machiene automatically switches to pump out mode and only works once the water and the cause is rectified..

Empty all the water from the salt resevoir, (I used a turkey baster), then rock the machine backwards and forwards a few times and empty the last few drops from the resevoir again.
