Take the top cover off.Trace the plug going into the top, there will be 4 wires, leave the green wire alone.Unplug the mixer and any 2 wires reverse them that should do the trick.

The solution i gave you wasnt inappropriate. Therefore your mixer must be single phaseed mixer.Check the motor wires--good luck

How to invert motor turning direction?

Hobart A200 Stand Mixer
Beatriz, I looked through the entire manual, it shows no reverse option. Did you just get the mixer or did you have it repaired. It seams the mixer is either wired wrong or the gears that rotate the mixer were not assembled correctly.
Check the attached link, manual, instruction and guides, Good luck

Previously hard wired. How do I connect a power cord?

It doesn't really matter which wire goes to L1 L2 or L3. All that can happen is it will run in the wrong direction. If it does just interchange any 2 of the L1 to L3 connections and this will reverse the motor.

Three of my hobart mixers are spining wrong what is the problem

These must be 3 phase mixers (electrically there are two choices, single and three phase) Three phase cables typically have 4 wires, black, white, red and green (green is ground of course) To reverse the rotation of your mixers you would have to swap two of the three colors, and it doesn't matter which two of the three you choose, DO NOT SWAP THE GREEN, LEAVE IT ALONE. for example, just change red and black wires where it they connect to the plug. Of course turn off the power, unplug the the mixer, and usually you can take the plug apart and reverse the wires. If your units are hardwired you should call an electrician in to do it, it will only take a couple of minutes. cf652f29-33fe-4eee-8e37-1addfd1bcb1a.jpg aec28350-7e8b-4d45-a617-78e7a23dbf21.jpg

Seemingly well maintained H600 mixer only runs in reverse...

whoever wired the mixer in , hopefully 3-phase made a mistake on the incoming pwr to term block or the contactor switch any 2 leads this should reverse rotation of the mixer

I have a Hobart 80 qt. stand pizza dough mixer that has lost forward speed, and only works in reverse. Is this electrical controls or a gear problem?

if the mixer is a 3-phase unit, that mixer has no reverse speeds, all gears should turncounter-clockwise when mixer is on ,if a 3-phase unit try switching any 2 of the incomingline to to change direction

A-200 mixer brush carrier orientation.

Hi. I can't help you with your first question...But I can help with your brushes problem. Unplug the mixer With the two inspection plates removed at the commutator end loosen the two screws of the brush holder which are above and below the motor bearing cover, they're the only larger screws now visible. Note the markings on the brush holder on the bottom right side where you removed the inspection plate. Rotate the brush holder to the other mark. Set the brush holder screws. Plug in the power. and start the motor. It should now be turning in the proper direction, if not, make small adjustments by loosening the set screws, and moving the brushes until it starts to your satisfaction. Be sure that the set screws are tightened when you're done. If you need further assistance, post a clarification.

I have the same spec. mixer as you do.

If this solution has assisted you, please rate it. Good luck! ricardok45

Hobart A-200 Motor Direction

No, do not swap hot and N.

First, verify rotation. As the attachment shaft rotates, it should push the engagement pin into the keeper slot. Looking down on top of the mixer, the planetary should rotate clockwise.

If the unit runs backwards, does it start slow? Can you get it to run either way by giving it a push start before turning on the power? If so, your start switch is not working properly. (Which is my guess) Check your capacitor.

There is mechanical and electronic start switches. (Metal arms and a contact or a little gold rectangular metal can.)

Check it out and let me know what you find -- Mike
