Bought a new bulb, and reset timer. Still starts to flicker then the light goes out and the fan kicks on. Same thing it did before I changed the bulb except it doesn't tell you that the bulb is expired when you start it back up.

No filter timer to reset. It seems to start to flicker when the scenes change. Like it can't keep up or something

I have exactly the same issue with the BENQ1000 and am having no success so really interested in a positive answer?

Ok, bought a can of air. Took the projector apart (carefully). Took it outside. Sprayed it out good. And voila!!! It works again. Must have a sensor or something that tells it to shut down when there isn't enough airflow. Just glad it works again :^) hope it works for you.

I change my bathroom vent light. Before light went out. When I would turn the light on. It just came on. Now with new light, it flickers then comes on. And my hall bathroom started doing it too once I...

It sounds like you have indeed bought fluorescent bulbs. manufacturers are encouraged to replace the incandescent bulbs with more energy saving fluorescent bulbs. They are made to look like standard bulbs so you need to look at the package carefully to see the difference. The Nu Tone and other special bulbs may still be available in the old filament style for a while but you may have to look harder or ask if they are still available. The amount of flicker often reflects the quality of the bulb. It will sometimes decrease over time.

Light in freezer sometime goes on and other times doesn't. What size bulb do I need? could this be the switch for door closing?

Bulb is a 40 watt appliance bulb, it can be found at any hardware store or walmart. Yes this problem could also be caused by the door switch not operating correctly.

Flickering bulbs

You posted under EJ500 Intermatic battery-operated timer.
If you have different timer, add a comment.
I have tested EJ500 timer.

A) If this is new single-pole installation and lights click on-off when timer turned on, then you connected red wire where blue wire should be connected.

Manual says for single pole switch:
Timer-black-wire to Hot; Timer-blue-wire to Load (lights)
Here's how to wire timer correctly:
1) Timer-green-wire connects to bare ground wire.
2) Switch has 2 wires. Take switch wires and connect them to timer-black-wire and timer-blue-wire. Choose either one for now.
3) Put wire nut on red wire.
4) Turn on electricity, and push ON-OFF button. If lights come on, timer is wired correctly. If lights do not come on, then reverse timer-blue and timer-black wires.

B) If you are replacing 3-way switch, view wiring diagrams shown on link below, and then add a comment saying exact color of wires. To wire this timer for 3-way can require additional wire between switches. This is because EJ500 blue wire must always go to Load (light, fan, motor)
http://waterheatertimer.org/ST01C-program.html#EJ500-wire

C) If this is older timer that stopped working, check your bulbs. Then check timer battery. Manual says if timer stops working and bulbs are good, and battery good, then reset timer and reprogram. How to reset timer. Press reset button while holding down Next/ON-OFF button.
EJ500 manual has long list of programming instructions: Add a comment if you forgot parts of programming.

Dusk to dawn light flickers on and off sometimes says on for hour or two then 5 minutes off and on installed new bulb and checked wire connections still flickers charlie

I answer questions for free here at fixya.
I know timers and electrical devices.
If the following information does not help, add a comment and I will work on the problem further.

You posted under the Intermatic ST01C timer.
I assume this is not a new installation, so we know the wiring is correct, and your programming worked correctly in the past.
You have the timer set up for dusk to dawn.

The manual has troubleshoot section.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Intermatic-st01c.pdf

I have read the manual and tested&wired the timer and programmed the timer.

A low battery can cause this kind of problem, even if BATT is not flashing on screen.
The manual also says when encountering a problem, you can reset and then reprogram the timer.
The manuals says to check for loose wires, and defective bulb.
The timer does not work on circuits longer than 100'
The timer does not work if there are underground wires.

The symptoms you describe sound like loose wires or a light bulb.
I would check the wire nuts at the timer and at the outdoor fixture.
Change the outdoor bulbs.
As last resort, reprogram the timer.
These electronic devices go bad, and the ST01C has a 1 year warranty >>> combine the short warranty with the long troubleshooting section, I believe the product fails frequently.

Lights flicker on ceiling fan: We have 4 cfl bulbs in a ceiling fan light fixture that have recently started to flicker. They've been there for a while without the problem, so it's not a matter of a new...

It is not a ceiling fan or wiring problem. It is your bulbs. Normal CFL bulbs do not work in dimmers or with remotes. Remotes work on RF signals and cause interference with the bulbs. You may also notice a buzzing sound and the lights may not go out when you turn off the switch. It is a fire hazard, can invalidate your warranty on the bulbs and will shorten their life. Try changing the bulbs to the new dimmable CFL's and see if it helps. It should eliminate your problem altogether.

Optoma hd65 projector new bulb wont turn on...cant reset timer!

I think it's a lamp driver issue from what I've seen others have gone through. I also read that if you go through the sequence of unplugging, plug back in, wait 20 seconds and try to turn on, multiple times, it will finally kick on and work. I just got mine to turn back on by doing this and waiting through the fan cycling without the light turning on. After the 4th sequence the light flickered. After the 7th sequence it finally turned on and is working. Now I can watch the Super Bowl and will look into replacing soon.

Canon LV-S1 New bulb but won't power up

Have you cleaned the filters? In this situation, the fan and power shuts down even before the bulb lights up and heats up the unit, but perhaps the unit can detect clogged filters.

You can download the manual here if you don't have one. Instructions for cleaning the filters are on page 37.
