Combomatic Splendide I have a combomatic in my 1999 boat. It has a full-back and the water inlet is on the top right side. It is not getting water and the programs change by themselves. Any ideas as to what part specifically is not functioning and is this part obtainable? If so, how do I go about finding the necessary parts? Thanks in advance for your help. Dave

SOURCE: splendide 2000, 1999 vintage, noise on dryer cycle.

That sounds like the dryer motor and if it is doing what you say, my guess would be the motor is bad - sounds like a bad bearing or something. Check out the technical info here.

I have a Splendide Comb-o-matic 5200 that will start the wash cycle and before it goes into the rinse cycle the dial start clicking in full rotation repeatedly.

The issue you are experiencing with your Splendide Comb-o-matic 5200 could be related to several possible causes. Here are a few things you can try:
  1. Check the water inlet valve: Make sure the water inlet valve is working properly and is not clogged or damaged. A malfunctioning valve can cause the washer to stop during the wash cycle.
  2. Clean the drain pump filter: A clogged drain pump filter can cause the washer to stop working during the wash cycle. Clean the filter to remove any debris that may be causing the issue.
  3. Check the motor: A faulty motor can cause the washer to stop working properly. If you hear a humming noise but the drum is not spinning, it may be a motor issue.
  4. Check the belt: If the belt is worn or broken, it can cause the drum to stop spinning. Check the belt to see if it needs to be replaced.
If none of these solutions work, it may be a more complex issue and you may need to contact a professional technician for further assistance.

Can't open door on splendide combomatic 5000

It appears your lid switch/door latch has failed in this instance.

For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...

FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.

PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.

If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.

Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.

If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.

Water inlet valve - where is it located - model RCA MSX27D

The water inlet valve is located near the bottom in the "back" usually on the side the icemaker is located. On certain style freezers (boats, etc.) the inlet valve may be located at the bottom in "front" on the icemaker side.

WD200S overfills with water

Sounds like the switch that detects the water level is malfuntioning, this can be caused by one of several reasons.
I assume that the water stops running in if you stop the m/c, if it does not, then you have a faulty water inlet valve, which you would have to replace.
I think you neede to call an engineer.
Hope this helps.

Splendide 2100 no longer dries clothes

We had the same problem with our splendide 2100 top loader. If you remove the top cover, you will find 2 circular like black discs (the size of a dime) on the right hand side about 6 inches from the front. You need to push those down (with a very small blunt object) to reset them. Please make sure that you unplug your washer/dryer before you attempt this. Good luck.

Replacing the part is reverse of removing old valve located behind refrigerator on right side facing the back. You may have to remove bottom back cover to access. Make sure you reinstall the cover for proper operation.

Hot water barely dribbles into the tub. I checked the line and it was full of hard water deposits. I cleaned the filter on the hose, but I guess some of the deposits got through. I can't figure out what...

Hello,
Your Water inlet Valve is going to need replaced. To get into your machine you have to remove the two phillips head screws on both sides of the top control area, they are either going to be on the front side of the control panel area or on the back side. If they are on the back they sit into a little grove, they will not come all the way out, just ensure that you unscrewed them enough to be loose from the lid panel.

Once those screws have been removed that whole control top piece will literally flip over backwards,(not by itself LOL) That will expose the two brass clips that hold the whole cabinet to the back panel. Use a flat head screw driver and insert it into the front side opening of the clip and push the top of the driver back, to "pop" the clip out of the cabinet, do that to both clips on the top there. The last thing you are going to do in unplug the lid switch plug. It is right in the middle, the only thing there you can unplug from the cabinet. Now just pull the cabinet forward and few inches and look for the water inlet valve, the piece your hoses connect too.

We hope this helps you out with your repair. If you have anymore questions or run into any issues feel free to post back. Thank you
