Just figured this out (though a lot of people seem to have tried giving an answer without seeing if it works.
Setting speed dial numbers doesn't allow you to choose one for the voice mailbox. Go to Messages -> Voice Mailbox Number (option 12). There you can change the number.
Nokia 1200 and any phones in Nokia does not need software for barring of incoming calls.
The solution is,it is inside our phone.
1.Just go to menu > settings > security settings > call barring service. 2.There we can see the list of options for barring of incoming calls, international calls and for outgoing calls also. Some Tricks in Nokia phones:Speed Dialing From Simcard contact (not stored in mobile phonebook) Type number followed by # then call. Example: 12# or 223# or 121#
"Thanks,for rating the solution high"
Press Menu, select Contacts and Speed dials. Select the key you want,
( to ) and press Assign. Select whether you want to assign to call or to
SMS. Select the name you want and press Select.
After the phone number has been assigned to a number key, you can speed dial
the number in the following ways:
• Press the corresponding number key and then press Call, or
• If Speed dialling is set to "on", press and hold the corresponding number key
until the call is started
I have done it. I have found a way to chance the speed dial settings on my Samsung D900i.
The following instructions work for my phone but I cannot guarantee they will work for everyone else. YOU WILL NEED A PEN AND PAPER.
Press Menu > select Phonebook > Speed dial (4) >Select
You should see names assigned to the numbers.
Decide which speed dial number you want to change e.g. 2 Mum Mobile (remember the name)
Press Back > Contact list (1) Select
Type in/go down to that name e.g. Mum Mobile (WRITE DOWN PHONE NUMBER BECAUSE YOU ARE ABOUT TO DELETE IT)
Press Options > Delete (5) > Select > choose Yes > Back > Speed dial (4)
You should now see that Mum Mobile has been replaced with a big number 2. This means that speed dial number 2 is un-assigned.
Press Back > Contact list (1) > Select
Decide who you want to be assigned to speed dial 2 (WRITE DOWN PHONE NUMBER BECAUSE YOU ARE ABOUT TO DELETE IT)
Press Options > Delete (5) > Select > Yes (HERE IS THE WEIRD THING)
Press Back > Create contact (2) > SIM (2) >Select
Type back in the name and number of person you have just deleted > Save > Back > Speed dial (4)
You should see that Speed dial 2 is now the person of your choice.
HOW COOL IS THAT!!!!!!!!!!
Press Back > Create Contact (2) > Select > SIM (2) > Select
Type in Mum Mobile and Number (THE FIRST NUMBER YOU WROTE DOWN) > Save.
That is it, repeat the instructions until you have all the speed dials of your choice.
Hope this helps the many frustrated D900i users out there.
