This solution is Applied for DESKTOP PC's

Just open the cabinet of u r CPU and on motherboard u find the sound card connector behind that u find a small IC on that u will be having name of the sound card i.e,for example Realtek,Sigmatel etc
like this or else it will be RTL followed by some number just make a note of the number and put in google u will get a link

or else

If it is a Branded Desktop just put the model number in google

or else

IF it is a Laptop just put the brand name and model number in google u will get a link

SOURCE: Realtek HDA driver

The driver you are installing needs more requirements. try to install driver from mother board CD. If not try to download realtek HD driver compatible to your processor.

Hi sir,
Its a simple problem, it can be solved easily....

  • How to solve this: You have to install the driver from your motherboard CD.
  • Then visit the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motherboard manufacturer's website and download,install the latest update.
  • You will need to install the drivers for your sound. Get the drivers
    from:

    1. the OEM's website for your specific machine if you have an OEM
    computer like Dell, HP, Sony, etc.; or
    2. the motherboard http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motherboard mftr.'s website for your specific motherboard; or
    3. if you received a driver cd with the computer, use that.

    To determine what hardware you have in the machine:

    1. look at any manual that came with your computer; or
    2. go to the OEM's website for your specific computer if you have an OEM
    machine; or
    3. install the free Everest Home Edition software which will inventory
    your hardware:

There may be other problems with your sound. however to install a sound device download Driver-Mechanic free from www.elitegroup.com driver updates and run it on your computer, it will automatically detect any required driver updates for your PC and update them as required from the website free. Alternatively go to your control panel, open system icon, click hardware tab, click device manager, go to sound video & game controllers & double click to open, select your multimedia controller and right click, click "properties", click the "Driver" tab & click the "update driver" button; windows will then guide through the process to update your driver.

Just go to Toshiba support web site Download the Storage Manager Driver for XP 32 then have an External floppy drive with formatted Disk ,install the drivers Files in the floppy connect the floppy drive put the XP sys CD Boot from the CD as in Solution #1 or by press on F12 tell choices boot screen popup select the CD then after that when the third party appear press F6 to chose the Driver for HDD to get recognized by the system.
