I am able to stream netflix, however, I was told I should be able to access everything else from my PC on the TV, as well. Therefore use my TV as a laptop. How do I do that??

According to the Optimum website, it does not seem that any internet service package the company offers comes with free access to Netflix.

Therefore, if you choose Optimum as your internet service provider you will still need to pay extra for Netflix access.

you must have internet service...Netfilx is a digital streaming service.. You don;t need a computer but you have to have access to a digital internet network either via computer, pad, wifi cell phone with unlimited data or something of the sort. Cable does not support or offer netfix . You best bet is to get internet service in your home and a smart tv.

The Sky HD box does not support Netflix streaming. You will need a streaming device such as the roku. There are several streaming devices offered. Do a web search for streaming devices. The signal for Netflix and other streaming channels is downloaded from the internet. Once you have a streaming device, you will go on line to Netflix .com to activate your account on your streaming device.
