I think not. The FS11 is the sequel to the FS10, which was of lesser capacity. Their lineup is the FS11, FS21, FS31, each one being thicker and longer life.

I had my digilife ddv-1100 for approximately three years and It no longer charges. If I pulg the usb in the light comes on but as soon as I disconnect it it goes right back off. What could be the problem?...

Almost certainly the battery. They don't last forever.

MY DigiLife DDV 7000 uses an NP-60 battery. I found some of these on Amazon by searching for "np-60", and paid about $1.50 each. You can also sometimes find batteries by searching on the Camera's model number.

My camera does not charge the battery from the USB lead. I have to use a separate charger.

Charge

You need a separate battery charger for this camera. It does not have a battery charger built into the camera itself and can not be recharged thru any cords connected directly to the camera. The USB cords only transfer the files to the computer, they don't recharge the camera.

505v battery

If you're talking about digitalkamera.de info, I believe it's incorrect. SONY japan's web page states 1300 shots and 1 hour life for the battery and it still uses the same battery from 505k, NP-FS11. I think it's possible they have reduced the internal circuitry power consumption (in 505v) to reduce battery drain, but the battery itself seems to be identical.

F505 Battery Question

The Sony battery for the F505 is the info lithium type from Sony. Since its lithium you don't have to worry about the memory effect of the older technology. The battery has a chip that will regulate the amount of charge the battery needs. It will stop charging if the battery is full, so you can charge it at anytime. You should store it fully charged from what I've been told, if it for extended period of time. For short interval it should not matter.
