I just ordered a Cybershot F505. But I am not sure whether the software supplied can work with Windows NT. I heard that USB only works on Windows 98. Could someone please help. Thanks!
USB is not available with NT4.0 It will be available with Windows2000 however. I'm running NT on both my workstation and laptop and am buying the F505 myself as soon as I find a dealer that stocks them.

Are you sure it is your charger and not the battery? (Batteries)
You could buy a new Sony charger, but there are lots of universal camera battery chargers, that won't cost as much and you can use it for every battery from every camera. Pick the right one and you have a charger for years to come, whatever your new camera will be and how big or small the batteries are.
Ok, by the sound of it both yourself and whoever you're calling have not set up Skype quite right.
On your end, you need to:
Make sure you have a working microphone - try using Skype's built in 'Echo' feature (try calling 'echo123')
In Skype -> Preferences -> Audio, make sure that microphone is selected.
On their end, make sure they've done the same - they must have a working microphone, correctly setup with Skype in order to send you sound.
Hope that helped!
1. Perform System restore: If the printer software was previously installed on the computer anytime before or even if the original issue was anything else before this error, then try restoring the computer to the date on which the software was working. You can then do add a device from the installation screen. The printer would start working fine as the software would already be available after doing a system restore. 2. Uninstall the complete Software. Perform L1, L2, and L3 uninstall. Then reinstall the s/w. 3. Insert the CD & start the install, select custom install. Under options select only "HP Drivers (required)" in order to install only the print/scan/fax drivers. If drivers will be successfully installed, you can add one by one the HP software starting again the installation and selecting Install More Software button & install the software in this order: • HP Solution Center • HP Device Functions • OCR Software Do not install HP Participation Program or HP Customer Experience or HP Supply. 4. Grant full permission to the system Right click on My Computer, go to properties\security\Group or user names\ select the customer’s user name & click on permissions. Click to select the Full Control check box under Allow, and then click Advanced. Check both the boxes under advanced window. Click OK & close all the windows & restart the PC. Install the software by following customer install method. 5. Make sure that you have write access rights enabled for the following registry keys: • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Monitors\ • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows NT x86\Drivers\Version-2\ • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows NT x86\Print Processors\ • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Printers.
In order to provide the write access, right click on the folder and click permissions. In the permissions window select the customer’s user name or ‘Everyone’ and give a check mark for full access. Then install the drivers again.
MAKStripe USB is controlled with the software "MAKStripeExplorer" for Windows NT / 2000 / XP / Vista, Linux, Windows Mobile 5/6 and Mac OS X operating system, which is supplied with MAKStripe USB.
In order to provide the opportunity for development of own software, we are also delivering with MAKStripe USB the library "libmakstripe.a" for Windows NT / 2000 / XP / Vista, for Linux and for Mac OS X with the appropriate header file "makstripe.h".
Using the library "libmakstripe.a", it is possible to integrate and control MAKStripe USB with own code as for example in a application for access control or payment system in a shop and in any other environment, where magneticstripe cards are used and the data should be processed through own software.
I never heard of this ... but there is a lot I never heard of.
Are you telling me that you must run NT (New Technology) (a version of Windows) for this monitor to work? I dont know where you will find this software that predates Windows 2000, unless you find it at E-bay or a company yard sale.
I think Id be inclined to plug it into just about any computer and let windows load a driver for it. It is a VGA monitor, right???
windows nt is a operating system some software works only with windows 98or only with windows 2000or only with windows xp/nt windows nt is the same as xp i think the software ym makeover magic works windows nt platform you should have the operating system in which the ym makeover magic works to know which operating syatem works just see some readme files in setup files folders of the ym make over magic there will be file stating readme in that they will give operating system comapatiblity windows 98/2000/server 2003/xp/media center /vista they will specify like this see the compatiblity and then install the operating systm and then install the software

SInce the only storage option on the F505 is Memorystick, you would need a memorystick reader. Sony has a MemoryStick/PCMCIA adapter card that would fit in standard PCCard slots. Once the images are in your computer they are standard JPEGs. Go to the Cybershot forum on http://www.mavican.com and ask what the F55 Mac users do. It also uses only memorysticks.
