Can't figure out how to in tall blades have installed lots of fans have never had this problem. Can't get screwdriver in there because of light housing in the way instructions of no use help please

Tilt the handle back and pry it out with a flat blade screwdriver.

Take down the canopy and make sure wires aren't touching the top of the fan where it spins.

If meter reads between about 3 and 30 ohms, motor is functioning properly. If meter reads either zero or an extremely high number, replace motor.
To remove the fan motor, remove the fan, the power wires, and several mounting bolts. Install the new motor with the reverse procedure .

Diane, usually, that's an indication that one or more of the fan blade irons are loose, where they attach to the fan's motor. Unfortunately, you're going to need a tall ladder and a Phillips Head Screw Driver to reach and tighten the screws. You'll have to check each fan blade iron one at a time, to find the one(s) that are loose.

Most of the time, that noise is caused by a loose fan blade iron (what holds the fan blade to the revolving part of the fan motor housing. Turn The fan OFF and check all the screws (using a screwdriver) that hold the irons to the fan. You'll probably feel one iron wobble. If you do, that's at least one of the ones that's loose.

Just bu a clean air can used to clean a computer desk top much easier.

the tube in front of the fan should not stop you from getting the belt on put it over one fan blade at a time

The grill is in two halves with the back half attached to the motor. The front with the round patton insignia removes easily by applying leverage with a screwdriver. There are eight spots (at least on mine) where it clips. Be sure to remove any disposable plastic fastener holding the two halves together. Its pretty easy.
