1995 Yamaha RA700AT Wave Raider. The unit will run great for 15 minutes and shuts down. Starts up after 15-20 minutes of sitting and does it again I have replaced the CDI, Coil, clean oil filter, replaced the battery. It has new plugs and new fuel filter.

SOURCE: 1986 Yamaha Radian stops running after 20 minutes

Sounds to me like it could be a few things... pretty interesting that it runs and shuts down...sits for a little while then fires back up. Could be something as simple as a bad ground.. maybe it needs cleaned.. if the ground is making very little contact.. the bike would run bad, and because its direct current it has to flow. The metal in the motor frame etc will hold so much DC current.. but *** soon as it load up the bike would stop sparking. Let it sit for a while, DC trickles into the battery through the slight contact, bike fires back up. OR could be bad venting of your fuel tank, or a partial clog at the pet ****.. the first is pretty easy to check, open your fuel cap and start the bike..if it does the same thing then its not a vent problem. One thing that does happen on the Radian, is the reserve fuel screen inside the tank comes loose, and then everything inside the that has built up over the years either partially clogs the pet ****, or the hose, or both. Take the tank off, pull the pet **** off..if it still has two intact tubes with good screens..you probably don't have any junk in your line..but I would pull the line off and blow through it any way... it could be some type of blockage, when the bike sets the fuel seep through, but when it runs it eventually creates a vaccuum that stops the fuel flow. Those are my two first thoughts... good luck!!

SOURCE: 1983 yamaha xj 650 no spark already changed the

  • Do you see spark? If not, check the side stand kill switch. It kills the engine so that you don’t start out with the side stand down. If broken or out of adjustment, it would kill the spark. Check for a broken wire at the side stand switch and coupler. Try moving the side stand kill switch by hand. If that doesn’t work then wire a jumper around the switch to bypass it.
  • Is the handlebar kill switch on? Is it shorted out?
  • Are you getting power to the coils?
  • Check the fuses. How good is the battery? Try a jump start from your car battery.
  • Check the operation of the ignition switch and all kill switches with a volt ohmmeter. Check the wiring harness. Did a wire come unplugged? Are all wires clean and with solid connections? Any abraded or pinched wires? Is the bike in neutral and the neutral light is lit up? If no neutral light, check the neutral switch and neutral switch wire on center or side casing. If still no spark, get CDI system and coils checked at the dealers shop.

SOURCE: Hi,I just bought a 84 honda goldwing interstate.

The bike may be discharging the battery. you need to test stator output, voltage regulator, and the fuses. Does the battery need to be recharged to restart?

Why does my my engine compartment fill up with water on my 1995 yamaha ra700at wave raider???.

You have a hole in the water jacket that surrounds your exhaust, usually on the bottom you cant find it till running on the lake or have water hooked to the engine for on land running the engine
FIX hook up the water at the back its a hose fitting and turn the water on it should cycle through the motor and exhaust possibly revealing hole but turn it on and it will start squirting some where?? take off the whole aluminum exhaust /water jacket, take it to a welder that does tig weld on aluminum , usually just a patch. back in and off ya go. OH And drain it more next time! avoid this with a good tilt...

2005 seadoo jetski wake

Check your exaust hose. Mine came loose inside the engine compartment and it caused the same problem. Would run great for a while, then just die or start sputtering like it was missing or the plugs were bad. After I let it sit for a while it would start up fine, run great for about 15 mins, then have the same problem.

Is there a heat sensor on my yamaha raider that shuts off the bike when overheated

My 2013 model has an engine auto stop system. If the bike idles for 20 minutes, it'll shut down. I'll get an error code of 70. Just restart and the code will clear. Your bike may be the same.
