My washing machine LG WFT type showing dE error. understand it is door error. I want to know where the door switch is located.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

You're correct- 'de' does stand for Door Error. There is likely to be a problem with either the lid/door solenoid/lock or the 'lid/door closed' sensor. Both are behind where the door's latch goes requiring a service engineer's attention I suggest ;-0(

de error mean door error. For fixing this you can try to reset using the instruction from lg site (http://www.lg.com/us/support/product-help/CT00000305-20150140270078-others).
If not work, maybe de switch is bad or the door is not closing properly.

What is dE shows on the ecreen
dE Stands for Door Error, which shows on the screen when the door switch assembly is not functioning properly. Check the door switch and if faulty replace.

I have a LG topload intellowash WF-T7516LS as soon as i switch on the machine the water fills in and then it just shows dE pls help
dE stands for Door open Error. Your door is not closed properly or the door switch is not activated. Try to press the door firmly. If the error does not go then you will have to check the door latch, notch ( a protruding part which goes inside to latch & activate door switch) & the door switch for any damage. For Top load machines the notch is near the hinges & inside the machine.

A DE Error Code is indicative of a “Door Error”. This indicates that the washing machine door is not shutting, locking or opening. This means that there is something faulty with the door switch and locking mechanism . You should get this replaced or you may have water where you do not want it. biigg53566
