Hi Can you tell me if there is a double feed detection system on the Canon DR3080CII?
When you say double feed detection I'm assuming you mean it picks up more than one paper.
No, it only measure the lenght of the paper it knows if it's Letter Legal or ....etc, so if it's Letter and two sheets feed in but at different time (offset) then it will show a jam, if it picks up two at the same time with no difference in lenght then it will not show a jam.
Though it has a flexible papr handling capabilities you might want to consider the ff:

all scanner are equipped with double feed prevention, however it still the user responsibility to ensure that you follow manufacturer's advice, to prevent double feeding:
1- do not feed dog eared paper
2- moistured paper or with strong humid
3- concave paper
4- convex paper
