Since you want to format the phone you can follow this steps in doing that:
Method One Verify that your phone does not have a discharged battery. Charge phone until battery icon shows a full charge. Save all personal information to the MMC memory card. Turn off the Nokia 6600 and remove memory card. Simultaneously press the green dial key, the "*" key and the "3" key. Continue to hold those three keys while turning on the phone. Do not release the three keys until the formatting message is displayed on the screen. Wait for a few moments while the phone reformat. Once completed, the phone will be restored to fresh out-of-the-box store defaults. Reinstall personal information from the MMC memory card.
Method Two Verify that phone does not have a discharged battery. Charge phone until battery icon shows a full charge. Save all personal data to a removable memory card. Turn off phone and remove memory card. Turn on phone. When phone is fully powered up, key in the following sequence, "#7370#". Answer "Yes" when phone asks if you really want to format phone. Enter pass code "12345" when the Nokia 6600 asks for the confirmation code. Wait while phone reformat. The process may take a few minutes. Replace the memory card and restore personal data.
if its hanging up with a screen logo or not at all getting started then its quite possible that the battery is drained out.or its not properly charged.but if you are confident that the battery is perfectly alright then the problem is ic number 32lqymc on the inner small circuit board thats turned faulty as this ic controls the power system in the cell phone .this ic needs replacement.
The only way, is to inject a short pulse on the BSI terminal, its the center terminal on the battery connector. But you need an electronic pulser to do that. It's better to have the switch replaced, it wont cost you a lot.
well, if i suggest u don't waste ur time in thinking how to increase to sound, this set really has low sound, try to use songs have high pitch in notes of song., or raise pitch of ur songs from computer then upload to ur phone. otherwise no such way to increase volume of ur phone.
charge the phone and note whether the battery icon is diaplayed . if not then try using a fresh baatery . try to press the powe button at the red circle mark only . there the power button is palced . other wise take it to a nokia care ceneyter
