We need to check if the issue that you have is a dead pixel or a stuck pixel. If it's a dead pixel (a black dot that doesn't respond to color changes), unfortunately, there is no way to fix it. If it is a "stuck pixel" normally a dot with a color but doesn't change correspondingly, this can be fixed via a software or some alternative methods.
You can download Pixel Doctor here: PixelDoctor download link
Its a .rar file so you need to extract it before you can use it. Pixel Doctor is a handy utility that will enable you to easily repair the stuck pixels on your LCD screen.
To fix a stuck pixel, select a color and the Start Single Test. If you see any dead pixel/s on your LCD screen, run the Start Therapy tests, I suggest you use Full Screen Method since you mentioned that you have a lot of it on your screen. Run it for about 10-15 minutes
Or you can also try these alternative ways of fixing stuck pixels on your LCD: Click Here
Hope this works for you.

Hi - If the lcd wont show all the pixel the problem here is that the LCD of the livescribe you can the warranty and check the manufacturer if they can replace the lcd or replace the whole device. Thanks

They do not replace, nor provide a fix. I believe they "broke" the pen with a bad firmware update. I have 3 pens with LCD screens that stopped working completely all around the same time. Class action lawyer please.

Vertical lines of stuck pixels

If a LCD TV has vertical or horizontal lines, in most of the case the problem is a defective LCD panel.

The left half of my LG LCD TV is going bad. Can anyone suggest a fix before we have to pay a repair tech?

I just fixed this problem on my friend's a couple of days ago. It is indeed the tcon board. It does not need to be replaced though! I just took it apart, cleaned the grounding connections with isoprol alcohol, and double checked all connectors. Turned it on and it worked great! I hope this helps yours and anybody else's problem! A lot cheaper than sending it in for repair. Don't try this if you're inexperienced at fixing electronics though. There are some high voltages built up in the power supply.

A spot developed in center of screen next day black lines across screen from the original spot

it sounds like you have a small crack on your screen that has gotten worse over time, these black areas are where the lcd crystals aren't active anymore, unfortunately there isn't allot you can do apart from buy a new screen or put up with the black lines.

Dark vertical streaks on the screen (they look like a liquid flowed down the screen). They are worse on a darker screen. In fact they do not show at all on a white screen. Sometimes the screen also shows...

There could be one or two problems with this symptom. One is the Panel could be failing and the other is you may have a bad T_CON board. This board does the work of putting the picture on the screen and lighting up the different color pixels in the screen and also does the adressing of these pixels. I would replace the T-Con board first for the line problems, AS to the liquid this may be due to a faluty Panel screen where the fluid is escaping from in between the LCD screens, in which case I would contact Dynex to see if they will replace the Screen for you. The only option is to replace the screen at this point.

Vertical lines on lcd display, just a few at first but getting worse

What is happening to your laptop is the power line connecting a row of pixels is failing so only partial colors are showing up causing the vertical lines. Usually screen replacement is the only answer to fix it. You can usually find replacement LCD on Ebay.

3 pixel wide stripe on lcd

Hi Casey,

If the problem is getting worse, than either the pixels are dying (so to speak) or you might have a problem with the monitor's screen.

Unfortunately, if either of the above are true, then the only way to fix it would be to replace the screen, which can be quite expensive. If you agree that this is the problem then you'd be better off getting a new monitor instead of spending money to get it repaired.

Good Luck.

The is a very small blue dot on my Canon xti screen

It can be regarded as normal, yes. All LCD screens will have a percentage of dead pixels, and no manufacturer will guarantee you get a dead-pixel screen on their products.

As you say it does not affect your photos and you can be assured it is not something that is going to get worse - it is a tiny manufacturing defect that is all, but within what they call acceptable limits.

If the camera is brand new you could always take it back and ask for another one, but they are within their rights (I believe) to say no for a single dead pixel.

Lcd problem white pin dot on screen

Probaly will not get worse, but is a stuck pixel. If you press on the screen at that pixel, does it go away? Check with mfr see if it is covered.
