This is a problem when your computer doesnt recognize your hard drive.
It could be your hard drive is not correctly connected.
or
your bios has a bad configuration and doesnt look your hard drive.
when u turn it on you have to press a key that lets u enter the Bios Configuration
it could be F2, Del, or a F# key
if you are not familiar with this get your computer to a technician
You will have to install a new operating system. If there is valuable information on the hard drive of your desktop, I suggest a linux distro, as it will not format the hard drive and your information will stay safe. These operating systems are free as well. However most people find these operating systems hard to use, and much prefer the Windows based operating systems. To install a Windows operating system you will need a cd with all of the components on it, you may have gotten one when purchasing your computer, or you can buy one for around $200. If you are not secure enough in installing your own operating system, take your desktop to a local computer repair store and ask to have a new operating system installed. On average this will cost anywhere between $300-500.
