This is a problem when your computer doesnt recognize your hard drive.
It could be your hard drive is not correctly connected. or your bios has a bad configuration and doesnt look your hard drive.
when u turn it on you have to press a key that lets u enter the Bios Configuration
it could be F2, Del, or a F# key
if you are not familiar with this get your computer to a technician

You will have to install a new operating system. If there is valuable information on the hard drive of your desktop, I suggest a linux distro, as it will not format the hard drive and your information will stay safe. These operating systems are free as well. However most people find these operating systems hard to use, and much prefer the Windows based operating systems. To install a Windows operating system you will need a cd with all of the components on it, you may have gotten one when purchasing your computer, or you can buy one for around $200. If you are not secure enough in installing your own operating system, take your desktop to a local computer repair store and ask to have a new operating system installed. On average this will cost anywhere between $300-500.

Operating system not found

there is problem with your hard disk. your hard disk wire may be loose. try to remove and refix all sata wires of your hard disk. "operating system not found" message may be coming because you may have not installed any os (windows, linux or mac) in your notebook. try to install operating to system to fix this. there may also be proble with your hard disk, your hard disk may be dead. if your notebook is showing message "operating system not found" without any reason then you may have put your notebook in high magnetic field area. due to high magnetic field, sometimes hard disk's are formatted automatically.

On your computer, go to Start menu > right-click on Computer > click on Properties. Take note of the System Type.3. Use the link below to download and re-install the corresponding printer driver for your operating system:- Lexmark X5650 Printer Driver for Windows 7 32-bit- Lexmark X5650 Printer Driver for Windows 7 64-bitSimply follow the instructions on your computer screen to complete the installation.4. To re-install the Lexmark OCR scan software, insert the printer software installation CD in your pc CD-ROM drive.5. Error message "load needed dlls for kernel"

1. Insert the Microsoft Windows XP CD. Note: If you have a recovery CD or a restore CD and not a Microsoft Windows XP CD it is likely the below steps will not resolve your issue. 2. Reboot the computer, as the computer is starting you should see a message to press any key to boot from the CD. When you see this message press any key. 3. In the Microsoft Windows XP setup menu press the R key to enter the recovery console. 4. Select the operating system you wish to fix, and then enter the administrator password. 5. Type expand d:\i386\ntoskrnl.ex_ c:\windows\system32 6. You will then be prompted if you wish to overwrite the file type Y and press enter to overwrite the file. 7. Type exit to reboot the computer.

Want to remove you may be a victim of software counterfeiting

the message is displayed because your version of windows is not genuine. here are some steps to make your windows genuine
1 . start > run > " regedit" (without the quotes of course)

2 . Go to the key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WindowsNT\ CurrentVersion\WPAEvents\OOBETimer
…and doubleclick on it.
Then change some of the value data to ANYTHING ELSE…delete some, add some letters, ..just change it! now close out regedit.

3 . Go to start > run > "%systemroot%\system32\oobe\msoobe.exe /a" (again, don't type the quotes)

4 . The activation screen will come up, click on register over telephone,>next> then click on CHANGE PRODUCT KEY, enter in this key:

JG28K-H9Q7X-BH6W4-3PDCQ-6XBFJ and give update.

(Now automatically window will return back to activate by telephone mode and ask for activation code, just ignore and exit that window it's done)

the only permanent method to remove that message is buying an original version and i do recoment that, than the steps above........
