Printer (2410) is unreliable when the last two sheets slip up together. This is also a problem that messes up much paper and wastes ink when doing two sided work. I have to do the one side and all is well. I turn them over and invariably somewhere in the middle two slip together and the pages are out of order for the rest of the work. I must repeat disgustedly the messed up pages and go one by one. Tom Roach [email protected] What can I do????? If anything. Switch to Cannon?

First of all my problem is not addressed,it has nothing to do with television. Please send this to the proper department. To tell me to look at the manual is useless as it does not address ths said problem of poor printing on the 2410 printer. you need to get a warm body on the subject. PLEASE. Tom Roach

  • tlchosen Aug 27, 2008

Please; my problem has nothing to do with television. My question has to do with my HP printer. I have already told you that problem .If it has slipped through the cracks, let me know and i will repeat it. IF NOT PLEASE REFUND MY MONEY!

    respectfully, Tom Roach

  • tlchosen Aug 27, 2008

If I must insert paper one by one I will go get a Cannon printer. they can print more than one page without taking two sheets and messing up the sequence when two siding.

This is NOT a satisfactory answer.!!!!!

In your printer where you feed the paper is called the paper feeder tray.in that tray in the lower area there are two small gears on both the sides.just clean that gears if some dust is blocking them .and check whether the gears are cracked you have to replace them.you can replace it with new as they are not to costly .they are called as paper feeder gears.

pls do rate the solution

There is a solenoid on the right side of the printer which stops the toothed gear. You can see this if you open the printer cover exposing the inside of the printer. On the solenoid there is a thin piece of foam which becomes sticky with age and temperature inside the printer. When the second and subsequent pages are printed, the solenoid the metal flap sticks to the solenoid and hence the timing of the feeding of paper is messed up ........

The cause for this problem is worn out pickup roller and separation pad fail to properly grip paper, causing paper jam.

Ink ribbon or paper roll error. the in ribbon is broken, or the paper roll is jammed. Clear the problem. I put new roll and ink cartridge in and still showing error

Happend twice to me. What sometimes happens is that the paper roll was not changed at the time the ink was. Therefore the paper roll was allowed to remain in the printer until the very last sheet. On the last sheet there is a sticker that says paper out. (stupid idea) This sticker makes the last sheet of paper too thick to fit through the last paper guide / feed. Because of this, the ink film breaks and that specific error message is displayed until that last piece of 4x6 is pulled from the paper feed. Clear that out, and all is good.. Change the paper every time u change the ink.

Hello worldvet, the cleaning of the waste ink absorber in the W7200 from Canon...

Hello,

Things you will need.
Needle nose pliers.
Paper towels
97% rubbing alcohol
Plastic gloves.
Flashlight
Disposable waste container, lined with plastic.
Disposable plastic tray about 6x9 or thereabouts.
Plenty of ventilation, outside if need be.

a. With the printer on, open this lid as if to change cartridges.

b. Turn Printer off. Unplug the printer. Unattach the communication cable. You will be moving it to a work area with excellent ventilation, such as outside.

c. At the far right where the the cartridges normally park themselves when not printing you will see a platform with rectangular compartments. When the cartridges park, this platform rises, seals off the nozzle area and captures any leaking ink, which till happens today.

d. Examine the platform with your flashlight and you will see what looks like sponges in the compartments. This material with holes in it, like a sponge, is plastic.Put on your gloves.

e. Place a paper towel folded over on itself underneath this platform as best you can to catch any spilling ink.

f. Use paper towels soaked in alcohol slightly and your needle nose pliers to push
the paper towel into each compartment, gently at first, until the majority of ink is
removed.

g. This will take quite a long time and plenty of paper towels and patience. So be
patient and ready for the long haul. Avoid smoking and the fumes.

h. At some point the sponge material, itself, may become dislodged and loose.

When you witness this, go ahead and remove it carefully using your needle nose
pliers and place it on some paper towels placed inside your disposable plastic tray.

i When you have one or both, if needed or more sponges removed and in the tray,
pour alcohol over these until the ink runs pretty thin. Leave to everything to dry.

i. Use a paper towel damp with alcohol and your pliers to clean out the compartment and its sides as best you can.

j. When you have completed these tasks allow the compartments and sponges to dry.

k. You are ready to reassemble the sponges into the compartments. Do so now.

l. Nearly done; take a towel wet with alcohol and hold it very gently against the bottom of the ink cartridge until ink flows freely onto the paper towel. If its stubborn, knock

the cartridge gently but sharply against a hard surface with the alcohol soaked towel held against the nozzle area.

k. Re insert the cartridges now.

l. Return the printer to its working location, attach power, attache the comm cable and with the lid closed apply power.

m. Run your printer through its normal setup routine, deep clean the print heads, run a nozzle check and finally do a print head alignment.

m. Your Printer is now ready to be used again.

Thank you,
Worldvet

I just replaced all 4 ink cartridges on my epson stylus c84 printer. The 2 left buttons on the printer are flashing and it will not print. I have tried turning it off and then on but it still won't print....

See the on-line handbook

http://support.epson-europe.com/onlineguides/en/sc84/index.htm

and look in Problem Solver, Diagnosing the Problem, Error indicators. If the two lights are flashing together, you have a paper jam. If this is the case, you should be able to pull the paper out from the front or top. If the lights are flashing together, and you can't see any paper jamming the printer, post a new comment to this effect for more help.

If the lights are flashing alternately (Unknown printer error), it usually means the Waste Ink Pads in your printer are saturated with ink and the waste ink "protection" counter has exceeded its limit. You can restore your printer to a working condition immediately by using the SSC utility - download from

http://www.ssclg.com/epsone.shtml

and use it to reset the Protection Counter. This will stop the lights flashing and restore normal operation. However, remember that eventually ink will overflow from the waste ink area and make a dreadful mess, so you should change the waste ink pads before this happens. This requires the disassembly of the printer.

If you decide to have a go at replacing the ink pads yourself, report back with a new comment and I will provide further help.
