Gestetner DSM627 I do not know the web admin password for my Gestetner DSM627. how do i reset it?

password word can be reset in special SP mode as follows: Reset, 1,4,3 press C then hold C special SP mode, go to SP direct 5-846-046 This will rest the Admin password to default

people what do you know the about the machine parameters

Try admin and leave password blank if that doesn't work then log on to web monitor . Open your web browser ie or Firefox doesn't matter enter IP address in browser then log in as supervisor no password and change name and password

in this machine you can use the scan to folder option -thanks

Try to type "admin" and press # key

IF YOU GO INTO THE SP MODES AND GO TO 5.MODE YOU WILL FIND AT THE MIDDLE OF THESE SP SETTINGS IFS THE ADMIN AUTH THIS SHOULD SHOW YOU THE CODE YOU CAN TURN OFF THEN GO INTO USER TOOLS ADMIN AND RESET THERE..

If you're 'ok' with resetting all the network info such as Ip address, Etc - not to mention the scanner locations, fax speed dials etc. then you can email me. I will give you the instructions to reset "NCS" which will set all network settings to default, but I haven't got the time to walk you through all of the reconfiguration settings - - you're on your own there.

The basic scanning method is to use the Twain driver, found in the printer driver disc.
Install it on your computer.
Put original on the exposure glass.
Open Word document, click insert, select from scanner or camera
and select your device scanner and click on insert.
Then you can save it and attach it to an email.
