This depends on if your computer is hard wired or wireless. If it is hard wired you sometimes have to reset the router, pull the plug wait 30 seconds then plug it back in also do this for the computer that is not connecting, this will start the hand shaking process over. If it is wireless you may have to reset the wireless adapter. the easy way to do that is to hover the mouse icon over the wifi icon on the bottom right of your screen now right click on that and select troubleshoot problems, this will reset it. If this fails then on your start on the bottom left normally open that and in the run box type cmd now hover your mouse over the cmd and right click and select run as administrator a black box will open in there type netsh winsock reset and hit enter after doing that you will have to reboot your machine, hope you get back online..

SOURCE: Internet Explorer hangs when connecting through USB adapter

That's bizarre.
Run a full virus and spyware scan.
In IE, open Tools/Internet Options/ Connections and make sure the entries are correct-sometimes there are entries from previous connections.
Also open Advanced and Reset IE to defaults.
Under the General Tab, clear the temp files.
It's hard to call this an adapter problem when it works OK other places.
You might want to try Firefox-it's a better browser anyway, and if it works OK it suggests the problem is with IE:

SOURCE: my belkin light is on but the internet connection to my laptop keeps breaking up consistently

This sounds like it is probably the networking cables as your PC is directly connected so shouldnt have problems with net access. Get new cables as a first step :0)

I don't know what cord connects a xps 600 computer to the internet

The internet jack fits in only the one jack available. If you have a modem card that jack will be to big to fit.

I need to know how to hoop up my wireless connection for Panasonic Blue Ray

you don't hook it up directly with the wireless internet connection, you hook it up with the machine you will be viewing it with (i assume it doesn't have a viewing screen). Hook it up with your tv or computer. Match color coded terminals.

Started having issues last 2 week where the fuel gauge would just die and then come back on. Yesterday, the check engine light came on and I testerd the computer mod which gave out code of P0442.

P0442 = Evaporative Emission System-Leak detected (small leak)
Go to www.hmaservice.com and register your vehicle by VIN #.. you'll then have access to wiring diagrams, shop manuals, service bulletins, campaigns, illustrations and procedures, etc.
When a 'check engine light' (MIL=Malfunction Indicator Lamp) is turned on, there is a DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) set/stored in the ECM/PCM (Engine Control Module/Powertrain Control Module). This code identifies which engine management system component/function experienced a malfunction.
SINCE I don't know which model/year (M/Y) Hyundai vehicle you have, it's difficult to help.

I was hooked up to the internet yesterday by verizon (we have just moved) and the tech. told me that I would not have to change my password. She told me that I had to come up with a password forthe...

Which password?

1. The password on your computer that you use to logon to your computer?

2. The password for your wireless network, so that your wireless network cannot be used by those who do not know the password?

3. The password for your '@verizon.net' mailbox?

4. The password for your '@gmail.com' or '@yahoo.com' or '@hotmail.com' ID?

Are you using Gmail, Yahoo Mail, or the Mail program on your Mac?

Call Verizon for technical support -- as a new customer, you need assistance.
If you don't get it, switch to some other Internet provider.

Seems like your phone is functioning correctly.

You have disabled wi-fi so it is asking whether you wish to use Phone Data Connection instead. (Standard Practice when trying to access data services)

What you need to do is un-tick the option in options Use only 2g networks. (3g is the mobile data service) That should then allow you to access Mobile Data. (3g)

Also enable data enabled

I want to transfer all my word perfect files from my 2000 computer to my laptop, however, i dont have a clue as to how to begin. HELP!DIAN

there are a bunch of ways you can get this done ... depending on your computers ...
Does your computer from 2000 hook up to the internet? If so, you can e-mail yourself the files through whatever e-mail program you have. You can "attach" the files to an e-mail and download them that way. Depending on the number and size of the files, you could also copy and paste the text into e-mails ... but this would require you to copy and paste them back into documents on your laptop when you are done. You could also use a file backup service, uploading your documents there and then downloading them onto your laptop.
If you cannot hook your old computer up to the internet, then you still have some options. Do you have a CD writer on your old computer? If so, you can write all of your documents to a CD and then use that to put them onto your laptop (if your laptop has a CD drive). This would also give you a permanent backup for your files .. which is always nice. If your laptop does not have a CD drive, then you can take the CD to a local library and upload them to the internet and download them to your laptop that way. Just let the person at the information desk at the library know that this is what you are doing so they don't think you are uploading viruses or something (a lot of librarians get nervous when they see someone uploading a lot of stuff to the internet and it is easier to let them know up front than trying to defend yourself later -- I have faced this issue before ... ha ha ha)
If you don't have a CD drive on your old computer ... does it have a floppy drive? If so, you can do the same as with a CD, but using floppy disks -- newer laptops don't usually have floppy drives, so you would likely have to go to a library to upload them to the internet and download them to the laptop.
If you have a USB jack on your old computer, you can also use a USB flash drive to transfer the files -- just upload them to the USB drive, then hook the drive up to your laptop and download them. If you don't have a USB drive, you can get one for very little money (you won't need a lot of storage for word documents -- a 1 GB flash drive will be MORE than enough no matter how many documents you have)
There are other ways to get this done, but you will likely be able to use one of the above procedures to help you out. If not, please leave a comment and I'll do what I can -- please include some more information with your comment: 1. What OS do you use on each computer (Windows, Linux, Mac, Unix), 2. What drives does each computer have (CD-R, floppy drive, etc.), 3. Do you have a home network that is hooked up to both computers?

Fan is not working

I am glad to HELP YOU!

If your fan doesn't work [you cannot feel the air stream or you cannot hear the soft noise like "fssss" from the inside] I suggest you to get it replaced.
I don't know what kind of computer do you have [laptop or desktop] or what brand and model - but I am pretty sure if you will perform a search on any Internet search engine [like Google or Metacrawler or whatever...] under "XYZ computer cooling fan" you will discover many online shops that are selling it for decent prices.
If you will use your machine with the failed fan you risk to damage irreversible your motherboard and many other components.

My best regards!
