Are you running your audio through an amplifier? If you are, it sounds like you are using the blue wire (power antenna remote turn on) instead of the blue/white (amplifier remote turn on). The blue wire shuts off when you leave tuner mode, thus turning your amp off.

Does you car volume get lower when you stop. If not sounds like an internal issue. No sound at all my brother hooked his up and when he switched to tuner everything would go through the subs but you would not know it sounded like his 6x9s no bass. was a wiring issue. Alpine CDA-9885 has no sound to rear speakers when playing a CD. Works OK when in tuner mode?? What up??

Are you running your rear speaker through an amplifier? If so, you are probably using the blue wire (power antenna remote turn on) instead of the blue/white wire (amp remote turn on). The blue wire turns off when leaving tuner mode, thus turning off the amplifier.

Alpine CDE-9845, no audio from cd's either normal or mp3. Tuner works fine. Where to troubleshoot?

You have the wrong blue wire connected.
Your power antenna wire is hooked to the amp remote wire and vice versa.
Your radio thinks the tuner is off - and is dropping the signal thru the power antenna wire - and turning off your amplifer.
Switch the 2 blue wires in your install - and you'll be all set.

Alpine cda 9884 has no sound in cd or ipod mode

actually, chrysler/dodge has factory Infinity sound systems installed. The nice part about these systems is that you dont have to bypass the amplifiers in order to put a new radio in, but simply power up the amp by hooking up the amp turn on wire at the harness. The alpine should have 2 blue wires coming off of the back, one that is solid, the other with a white stripe. The one that is solid only has 12v when the fm/am radio is on (used for power antenna) but cuts off when other sources are used (cd,aux, ipod). My guesses are, you have the amp wire on the vehicle harness (blue) tied into this wire, instead of the BLUE/WHITE wire on the alpine which has 12v as long as the radio is on. i hope this solves your problem, 9 times out of 10 on a chrysler this is it.

Alpine 9885 - no sound with cd's or ipod

have you fixed it yet? if not try this. your car probably has factory amplified speakers. hook up the remote wire AND the power antenna wire to the blue factory amp wire and it should work just fine

No sound from front speakers during CD operation.

I think you are using an external amplifier,if this is the case, you may be using the wrong remote wire for the amp.
Alpine use two blue wires,BLUE (only) this wire is for the pwr antenna and every time you insert a cd, this pwr line cut out.
BLUE/WHITE STRIPE this is the remote wire that you need to connect the remote of the amplifier.

CDA-9885 Alpine No audio from Ipod - CD Playback not working

Disconnect whatever is attached to the BLUE wire at the back of the Alpine deck. Re-connect it to the BLUE/WHITE wire instead. This should solve your problem.
