Because it has power, the motor is fine. The switch that changes direction is broken. Depending on the make and model, it might not be economical to fix. Then again, why put up with a "bratty" drill?

the teyx bits are SDS Max which are common in the industry. Most hammer drill manufacterors make a SDS+ size drill and a SDS MAX size drill. Hilti calls their bits TEC and TEY.
