I haven't heard of the Ozito brand before but I will take a guess that it is a copy of the Devilbiss GFG Pro which in various guises has been a popular high quality spray gun for decades, so popular with the refinishing trades (I have one) there is an abundance of information available and many spare parts.
Go to the Campbell-Hausfeld website at http://www.chpower.com/, under the 'Service & Support" tab select 'Manuals/Parts Lists. Do a search for your model number and you'll be presented with the manuals and parts lists for that line of paint sprayers.
If paint comes out of the spray gun after you release the handle, your problem is inside the gun. If the needle tip or seat are damaged or the spring that holds them closed is broken, paint will be able to get past the the needle and will come out of the gun even when the handle isn't held open. The stock spray gun that comes with the the XR5 doesn't have any servicable parts inside it so if it isn't working properly it may be garbage fodder. If you have an aftermarket gun, rebuild kits may be available.
the nozzle should last as long as it is cleaned properly when the day is finished. Walmart sells Campbell equipment and/or many hardware stores do as well, the tip may not need to be specifc to your brand to fit, take the tip with you when go shopping. Also, check with your Cities maintenance department and find out where they buy there tools and parts, most likely you will find the parts you need there.
There is an adjustment nut on the back of the neddle but most likely is it wasn't cleaner the last time it was used. Take off the tip houseing then re move the nut on the front of the gun thats the seat for the carbide ball on the front of the neddle re move the neddle and clean all parts in laquor thinner then it should work
The tip as well as the pressure, are regulated in part be the viscosity and consistency of the product being sprayed. If the orifice is clogged, then it will not shut off properly and will cause splotchy spray when turned back on.
If the mixture is not smooth, the lighter part will leak out while the heavier parts remain behind... This of a lumpy gravy, the lumps hold the orifice valve open while the gravy leaks out.
Remix your solution, and pay attention to the viscosity requirements for your tip.
