Sharper and Router difference

Build a router lift. The fancy ones on mlcs and rockers but nice. YouTube router lift. Or Google blue-collar woodworking.com.

If you (google/bing/yahoo) search on 'router pantograph' you can get several views of different types of pantographs. They arent' so awefully complex but have to work within very tight tolerences and be quite strong to work properly. I know some people like to build their own tools when feasible but, as you can also find out on places like eBay, they only cost anywhere from $10 to $50 to buy.

go to dewaltservicenet.com and on the left side of site under manuals type in the model number as listed and then you need your type number because there are 3 different ones. when the option comes up on the right side of the next page you can download the manual in english. the manual is 18 pages long.

I put in a bit that fitted the existing collet. When I took this out, the collet came with it.

does Hitachi make or is there made a 4" router lettering kit?

I think you mean R180 router. This is Ryobi's site the manual section. Even if your particular router is not listed you should be able to draw from the information listed for similar router there.

Go to Dewaltservicenet.com and in the middle of page at bottom it will ask if you are looking for manual, type in your model number and on the next page look at the manual for the type 3 router. Hope this helps

make sure you don't have the Collette in the lock position

Those with larger bit shanks can hold larger blades. For large joinery cuts, buy a router with a large bit-shank diameter.
