How do you erase a tape using the dictating machine lanier model VS-110

Press the telephone button first with one finger and immediately after you press that button press the rewind button, The unit should go into rewind and erase should be flashing on the digital display. When the unit starts rewinding take your finger off of both buttons, if you keep them on ,then the unit will rewind and stop erasing .

Hello really simple on the front small door is a switch that say SPK and MIC move to MIC

Hello the alarm that you are listen is the end of the tape alarm the reason it detect a fast motion and is warning you that the tape is almost to the end but if you don't agreed that the tape is almost to the end your unit needs service you can Send an email to [email protected] or call (800) 644-9525. While holding the 'Erase' button down, press the 'Rewind' or "Fast Forward' button. It will erase the tape while it rewinds or fast forwards.

This model does not have erase.

It is not a problem at all! The VW-210 & 260 was designed to utilize a two-step erase procedure to prevent accidential erasing of tapes.
1.) Press & HOLD down the TEL button
2.) Immediately press & HOLD down Rewind button UNTIL erase function starts then quickly release both buttons.

yes I have two lanier voice recorders one left hand and one right hand one power supply real cheap do not use them any more . listed on ebay as lanier vw-110 standard cassette dictator. If you still need them. Thank you John
