Sounds like the contact points on your 9 pin DIN connector are corroded. If carefully cleaning each pin sounds like too much work, a search on ebay for a male 9 pin mini-din might bring you joy. But THAT solution requires some soldering.

Sub woofer not turning on

Is it receiving power? If not that is your answer - could be a blown fuse, bad wire, bad connection, etc.

If power is there and it still does not work then the problem coud be with a bad sub woofer on/off switch, internal fuse, or worse, blown amp from over driving.

Passive radiator speaker wiring

Passive Radiators are not driven by the amp. They have no voice coil and no power goes to them. They are used to enhance the bass or lower frequencies in a speaker system. They work by utilizing the back pressure that a driver (woofer) produces. When a woofer produces sound, it moves forward and backwards inside the speaker cabinet. This backward motion is what drives the passive radiator. So in order for the passive radiator to work, it would have to be placed in speaker cabinet along with a woofer that is hooked up to an audio amp.

Woofer doesn't work

sounds like the voice coil could be open or damaged. the woofer can be reconed. reconing replaces all the moving parts in the speaker frame returning to new condition in most cases.

Subwoofer not working properly after a few mins playing

Get a hold of the woofer connector (I believe its brown) right by the whoofer and move it around/press it/disconnect and reconnect and check if the woofer comes on. There is a bad connection in the connector for the woofer itself. I have a 2001 GLE my self and that's what I found to be the problem with mine.

Could a ground stop your woofer from working?

First check the speaker wire from the amp to the sub, see if it's connected right. Second check the rca cables that goes from your amp to the back of the deck. I f both wires are still connected fine try to replace the rca cables. If it still doesn't work the rear out put at the back of your deck, where the rca's are connected are bad. FYI deck is bad.

Feedback noise in speakers and Woofer.

hi wfj1310,
that feedback comes from the distance between the mic and the speakers only. Low the record level from the mic and make the distance bigger.

it makes feedback with any speaker, not only with woofer :-/
