Even though you like xp its an obsolete OS, when you get used to it, Windows 7 is not that bad. But new computers do not come out with XP drivers. btw.. I'm still on XP.

I chenge my windows from xp to 7 now my volume & internet dosent work and I haven't orginal CD how I can do?

Having had a look around, MPC don't seem to have Win7 drivers available on their web sites.

This site does however list the XP drivers and the modules they're designed for.

I updated on Windows 7 and now the maximum resolution i can get is 1024 x 768 when on XP i could change it to 1280 x 1024.The monitor is a Fujitsu Siemens 22''

You have to look for the drivers of that graphic card for Windows 7. XP and Windows 7 use different kinds of drivers for the same graphic cards.

Hi I having Compaq Presario CQ40 and installed with Windows 7 Ultimate. Now I wish to change my OS to XP. Whether I can.. or otherwise?

Hi there,
I've tried looking at HP's website and saw that the only drivers available for download for this model of computer are for Vista or Windows 7 only.
It's still possible to put xp on this machine however you would have to look for the drivers manually. You would have to download them from the manufacturers website and the most rigorous part is to identify the model number and the manufacturer of the device built onto the motherboard of the laptop.
If you can live with it I do suggest you stick with windows 7. BUt if you really have to downgrade to XP better list the model numbers and the names of the device under device manager so you'd know which drivers to download.
Hope this helps!
