According to crutchfield, this connector should have come with the amp. Was this an open box? I would suggest getting a replacement molex connector from jensen. I see what you are talking about in the manual, and if you don't have the supplied connector, you have a big chance of frying your amp. The manual expects you to have this connector, and is not specific about the actual pins. For all you know, you could be wiring it the opposite way. Either that of call jensen, and ask how the pins are layed out. If you are confident you do have it wired properly, you could try both pins, and see which is the ground, but this is risky of course. There is also the chance there is no actual metal connector in one hole. You can also test for impedance if you have a multimeter, and you definitely should if you are taking shot in the dark with your amp.
you are better off getting the wire harness for your vehicle goto circuit city they will have the wire harness you need and the smart cable for the jensen head unit so there will be no cutting just plug it in and go what is the make and model and year of your car ?
Hi blackie - I could tell you how to do it but I believe it is easier if you look at the manual with the pictures. Below you'll find a link for your manual. After clicking on the link just click on manual for MP5610 next to the red dot. It's in English and Spanish but it's ok to read it. I believe you want pages 9 and 10 for the menu and the clock. If this solves your problem PLEASE rate this as fixed. If you need more help just add a comment and I'll be happy to assist you further. Thanks.
Here goes: There are 4 wires inside the Aqua Vu cable that runs to the underwater part of the cam.
Red = Hot or 12 volt power from battery postive (red) terminal
Black = Ground - ground to battery negative terminal
White= Video input (or center of video coax)
Green= Infrared lighting control, if you ground the green wire against the black/ground, you will see
that it switches ON the infrared or "Christmas" lights. Simply put a switch on the green wire after you ground it, so you can switch your IR's on and off.
