The screen to my TI-84 plus silver edition got cracked in my school bag and it doesn't work. i am pretty handy taking things apart. i am looking for a replacement screen and i will put it in myself if it doesn't require sodiering the wires to the main board or whatever. i am looking for a screen to put in myself if it just plugs in, but i can't find where i could price one or get one. any help would be appreciated thanks Tom

I had a similar problem where my TT910 would charge but not power on . I used a small thin piece of wire to slot through the tiny hole beside the docking socket and held the reset for 30 seconds , then the system powered up ok (although it took slightly longer to initialise)

ON, 2nd, [up] arrow to change the contrast. Works 99% of the time....

The easiest way to fix this is through the Apps menu. Hit the apps key, then scroll down until you see any language(espanol, Deutsch, etc.). It should give you the option of switching to either that language or restoring to English. I just tried this on a calculator that was set to German. I hit Apps and scrolled down until I recognized the option for Spanish, and it still worked. It let me switch back to English.
