How can I change the Resolution?

I was presented an Olympus C-60 Zoom by my son last month. I have understood majority of its functions by studying the User Manual but still can’t pick up some of them. For example : My 32MB Chip exhausted after taking 0nly 25 snaps which I think is due to high resolution (Pre-set to 2816x2112). I remember I was told that I can take up to 56 snaps with this chip. Probably this can be achieved by lowering the resolution size. I don’t know how to do it and could not find it in the manual. As the local distributor is quite far away from here, can someone please give me step by step guidance in this respect?

Here are my instructions: 1. Turn the Camera On. (On the back you will see an OK button surrounded by 4 arrows.) 2. Press the OK button to bring up the menu. 3. Press the left arrow button 4. That should bring up a choice of: TIFF, SHQ, HQ, SQ1, SQ2 5. Use the up/down arrow buttons to move the cursor to SQ1 6. Then press the right arrow button That should bring up a choice of settings. 7. Use the up/down buttons to select a setting. I suggest you select 2048x1536 (which is 3 megapixels) 8. Then press the OK button. ..... I think you missed step 6. ..... Regarding TIFF. During step 5. It is possible that there is not enough room on the screen to see TIFF. Use the up/down buttons to move the cursor beyond the top and bottom items on the screen. You should find TIFF hiding there. ..... Regarding Resetting of settings. 1. Press the OK button 2. Press the right button 3. Use the Up/Down buttons to move the cursor to "Setup". 4. press the right button 5. You should see something called "All Reset" and it is probably set to "ON" 6. Move the cursor to All Reset. 7. Press the right button. 8. Move the cursor to Off 9. Press OK.

Olympus has its own way of showing the resolution settings. It is OK once you get used to it. Turn the Camera On. (On the back you will see an OK button surrounded by 4 arrows.) Press the OK button to bring up the menu. Press the left arrow button That should bring up a choice of: TIFF, SHQ, HQ, SQ1, SQ2 Use the up/down arrow buttons to move the cursor to SQ1 Then press the right arrow button That should bring up a choice of settings. Use the up/down buttons to select a setting. I suggest you select 2048x1536 (which is 3 megapixels) Then press the OK button. ................ You should think about getting a memory card with a greater capacity.

Need date stamp on pics taken with my Olympus Camedia c-60 camera. Cannot figure out how to make it work that way. Any ideas? Thx.

By default Olympus cameras do not print the date on the images when they are downloaded to a PC. Olympus does not include this functionality because they feel that it detracts from image quality. There is a function of the camera called print order or print reservation that you can set that it will print the date on the images but this is only if you take the card to a photo processing store. However if you use the Camedia Master or Olympus Master software and print the images that you have previously transferred there is a check box in the print setting window that you can add the date and or time to the printed image.

Battery

Olympus Ni-MH batteries will last approximately 60 to 80 images and can be recharged about 500 times. The Olympus CR-V3 long-life lithium batteries provide power up to 2 times that of Ni-MH batteries. The CR-V3 long-life lithium batteries are NOT rechargeable.
