JVC GR-DVF31 - How to transfer MiniDV to PC?

Has anyone figured out how to transfer video from the JVC GR-DVF31 to their PC? I seem to only be able to transfer still images...haven't yet figured out how to transfer video so I can burn DVD's to share with family. I'm using Windows XP and already downloaded the updated versions of JLIP Video Capture and JLIP Video Producer. Does Video Capture only capture still shots? I can't get my PC to recognize my camcorder connection when I use Video Producer. Please help if you have a solution or suggestion. Thanks.

This camcorder says in the instructions that it is for still pic capture only. Will one of those programs work? The software it comes with would do it that I can see.

Buy that wire, check ur camcorder if it has 6pin or 4pin for firewire then check ur pc if it has firewire card...if not you have to purchase the ieee1394card. install it then connect your camcorder to pc through firewire and that will be it.. u also need to have a software for video capturing and editing like adobe, roxio, pinnacle , etc...hope that helps.

I'm missing Jvc Camcorder batter.

You might have to find 29 people with the same problem, cause they only sell it by 30 pieces minimum... Or go on a Polish website to find it...

I can't figure out how to download video from my JVC GR-D90U Camcorder to my computer through it's usb cable. It is a mini DV camcorder that uses mini video tapes.

From the JVC manual "This camcorder can transfer still images to a PC via USB". There is no mention of video transfer via USB so it seems it is not supported.

Audio problem importing video from JVC GR-D320E

I think it might have to do with the upload process. It's a long shot but have you tried watching the video as you watch it? It may give the computer more processing time (time to clean it up a bit) before having to finalize. Some computers are just not up to date yet but if you have a mac it should work. The computer might need a few "practice runs" as well. Hope that helps.

JVC gr-270 drivers

Try www.driverguide.com look up JVC miniDV USB. There are many drivers, you just need to try until you get one that works. USB will only transport over still pics, you need firewire for video transfer.

Camcorder video transfer formats

The IEEE 1374 is the way to go. It is fast, and it is digital. Therefore, the video and audio will not be degraded in the transfer. The others are analog interfaces.
