My Power Shot SX130 IS wont turn on... I dont know why, yesterday was working and all the sudden today I tried to Power On and doesn't do anything. I changed the batteries .... HELP!

What burning software/version are you using?

The power indicator should blink 1-5 blinks when it wont power up. If you let me know how many blinks your getting I can assist with the problem.

1) try a different power cord.if that doesn't work, unplug it for steps 2&3.
2) if you have a multimeter, check the switch to make sure that it's good.3) you should find a fuse on a circuit board if you have the amp opened, check it.If none of these work,send me a good,clear pics of the boards in the amp section. I'll try to ID everything for you. Those are workhorse speakers, well worth fixing.

no click? sounds like a faulty starter solenoid or loose connection. clean and retighten battery cables and connections to that solenoid. If that doesn't work, you may need to remove starter and have it tested.

Try unplugging the unit for a few minutes. After plugging it back in and the power still doesn't come on, you will need to replace the control board.

Check for corrosion on the battery contacts. If it's corroded, use the eraser on a pencil to clean them off. If that doesn't work, it's likely something inside the camera that needs to be opened up and inspected/cleaned.

Press the Down arrow (from the buttons around the Func./Set button. Either turn the ring or use the up/down arrows to select the clock icon with 10 in it. Press the Func./Set button. Press the shutter button halfway to get the camera to focus on the subject as you normally would. Then press the shutter button fully. The lamp will blink and the timer sound will play. When there are two seconds left before the camera takes the picture, the lamp and timer sound will speed up. The lamp stays lit when the flash goes off.The Canon self-timer basic settings are on page 57 in the pdf of user's guide. Page 63 has the details for using a blink as the trigger for a delayed shot (since I wear glasses I've never tried this type of timer). I think holding down menu and the record button at the same time should fix it. I read the best solution and it just turned on. I was having the same problem, mine would not turn on either but just try pressing and holding down the record and menu button for about 5 seconds.
