How do you get your own address off of your tomtom
Have you tried setting your home address on the tomtom itself? I was having the same problem until I did that and then it downloaded. But it wont download by itself. You have to go into your "my computer" file and find the tomtom device and select installtomtomhome

Hi, Here's a link for tomtom home. I would suggest that you try to download it again. When the download starts choose 'save' instead of open. Save it to your desktop (easier to find). after download is complete double ckick the file on your desktop and let it install. You should have no problem doing it this way.
TomTom mobile is something different entirely.

I just bought a tomtom one and when i tried to download tomtomhome to my computer an box popped up saying there has been an error and the program must shut down. i tried a million times on two different days to download this program with the same result.
i finally got intouch with tomtom by phone and they said it's beacuse i'm using a wireless connection on my computer and i must use a landline connection because i am in the states and they are in europe the .exe file does not come over a wireless connection properly and it sreates an error.
so i am now going to try to find a landline to see if that is the actual case with this situation and will post here again with the result.
