Hi there,
Have you tried to reseat the processor?
If that does not work, how many memory Sticks (RAM modules) do you have?
Since you have 4GB I assume you have more than one and it could be 2x2GB or 4x1GB
Try to remove all the RAM and try turning the computer on with just one Memory Stick.
Do this for all the RAM and all the Memory slots of the Motherboard to make sure that you don't have a faulty Memory Module or a faulty Memory Slot.
If nothing happens, check if you are using an Integrated VGA or a PCI/PCI-E video card.
Remove the card if you have one and try using the Integrated VGA because the GPU or the Memory of the Graphics adapter could be bad.
If still that does not work and the same problem happens then I'm sorry to say but your Motherboard is bad and it may just have to be replaced.
Hope this helps!

Your opinion makes sense, since I have been noticing some strange behavior with the board lately, particularly with the SATA connectors. I made the RAM sticks/slots/processor check and all appear to be in good working condition. So I think it's time to upgrade. Thanks a lot.
